"bye babe!" I yell out the window to Anna.

"bye cutie!" she yells back.

"love you! call me in like an hour!"

"I'll be counting down the minutes! love you too!" she yells and I wave to her until she gets into her house.

"what'd you say? sorry, I couldn't hear you." Sam says.

"shut up." I say, laughing as I pull out of her driveway.

"when are we going to your house?" Jack asks me.

"we have to go to your house so all of y'all can get your shit right now and then we'll go to mine." I tell him.

"oh yeah, we don't have enough clothes for this whole month. so we have to go to the mall soon." Johnson says.

"I've never heard a guy say that." I say, trying not to laugh.

"you have now." he replied matter-of-factly.

"that's true." I reply and then I stop talking, but they all continue.

we get to Jacks house and I stay in the car whilst they go inside and get their stuff.

Sammy is out first.

"so, what do you think about Anna?" I ask him.

"she's hot, but I just, I don't know. I wouldn't date her." he tells me.

"you make no sense." I say laughing.

"there's another person I saw that I liked, but I'll still go to homecoming with Anna." he says.

"oh. who's the girl?" I ask, but Jack opens the door.

"hey babe." he says, kissing me.

"you just saw me." I say, laughing because he said it as if he's seeing me for the first time today.

"I know, but I missed you." he says and grabs my hand.

"I love you." I say, smiling.

"I love you too babe." he says and we wait for Nate and Johnson to come out.

it takes them about ten minutes, but they finally do.

"take you long enough?" I ask them, jokingly.

"we had to pick up a little bit." Johnson says.

"as in finish all of the beers in the fridge." Sam says under his breath.

I immediately start laughing.

"hey!" Nate jokingly says, trying not to laugh.

"and there were only like 3 or 4." Johnson adds and I laugh even harder.

"don't finish the ones at my house, you'd be there for a while." I say, because my parents are always 'well-stocked'.

"well, your parents know they're there." Johnson says.

"true." I say and I drive home whilst they talk.

we get to my house and I open the gates.

"gates?" Sam asks.

"yeah." I say rolling my eyes.

"nice." he replies and goes back to talking to the boys.

I pull into the garage and hope my dad and Gavin aren't home.

Gavin's car is gone, but my dads isn't.

"great." I mumble, just loud enough so Jack can hear me.
