~JESS' POV~
did I just hear Sammy say 'damn'?
I could see Jacks face change when I heard that.
so, Jack heard it too.
"teams?" I ask, going to my shed, grabbing the ball.
"I'm with Jess." Jack says.
"wait, there's an odd number. have 3 on my team because I'm going to have to leave soon." I say, remembering my lava cakes.
"how about J's vs S's?" Johnson suggests.
"works for me." I say and I pass Jack the ball.

"Jess!" I hear my mom yell. all of the boys look up at her and I drain a 3.
I hear Sam and Nate groan and I just laugh as I walk off.
"showing the boys up?" my mom asks when I get closer.
"of course." I say laughing and I go in and fix my lava cakes.
"I'll go get them." I tell my mom when I'm done.
I go out the the door, and walk onto the court.
the boys don't notice me until I steal the ball from Sammy and bank a layup.
"foods ready." I say, walking back inside.
"damn gilinsky. your girl is better than you." I hear Sam say and I can't help but laugh.
"and her ass is way better than yours." Jack replies to Sam and I hear subtle 'yeahs'.
