"Guys, guys, guys!" Matt shouts with a wide smile, approaching his friend group. They were all up to date about the whole Violet situation, and they were devastated, but mostly ravenous.

"I spoke to the principal andddddd." Matt drags on, "Just say it already!" Alahna grows impatient.

"Violet can come back to school next week." Matt smiles and everyone's jaws drop.

"Are you for real?" Chris asks and Matt nods. "With a little truth about both her and Rachel, Violet can come back next week, and Rachel is gonna get suspended for three weeks." Matt smiles.

"That's amazing!" Rosalia smiles. "I can't wait to tell her." Matt smiles a little.

"Oh yeah don't text her about it, I'm gonna tell her in person when we're home." Matt announces and everyone nods.

Matt parks his car in the driveway, and gets out along with Nick and Chris. Nick suggested to hang out, but they all had plans.

Nick and Chris head up to the door and open it, before both just going to the living room to chill.

"Tell me how it went." Chris says before Matt heads to Violets room.

Matt softly knocks on the door, before hearing a small "come in."

He goes in to see Violet sitting up in the bed, scrolling on her phone. "I was so bored today. I think I'm gonna have to find a new school and sign up for it." Violet sighs.

"Forget that." Matt says suddenly, getting seated on the bed next to her. Violet frowns, "I have no school, I'm gonna have to find a new one eventually." She says.

"You're not." Matt smiles, "I spoke to the principal, told him the truth about you and Rachel, and the rolls have switched." Matt says and Violet frowns.

"Matt im so tired I can't tell what you're trying to say." Violet groans.

"Rachel is suspended for three weeks, and you can come back to school next week." Matt smiles and Violets eyes widen.

"Are you serious?" Violet asks, not believing him. "Swear on my life, Viola. You can go back." Matt smiles and Violet smiles back before jumping up and flying into Matt's arms.

Matt holds her into his arms and smiles. He missed this. Sure, it's only been a day, but he still misses the hugs Violet always gives him.

He misses the comfort of feeling her with him in his bed, and the comfort of waking up next to her.

He's just too scared to suggest it.

"Y'know what I realized?" Violet asks, moving back a little to be able to make eye contact with Matt.

"I've had the worst night of my life tonight." She mumbles before pulling both her and Matt on the bed, still cuddling.

"I want to sleep in the same bed as you again." She mumbles, moving a little so she's as close to Matt as she can be.

"Me too." Matt confesses, gently massaging Violets scalp. Violet smiles as she quickly drifts off to sleep, and so does Matt.
