Matt pulls up into the Sturniolo's driveway, and Violet pulls up next to him.
They turn off the car and both get out, Matt had decided that he'd take his stuff back inside later.
"You ready?" Violet asks and Matt breathes in and out deeply before squeezing his eyes shut for a second.
"No idea. How did they react?" Matt questions. "Nick found out. He was hyperventilating. Chris and Nathan didn't want to believe it, and your parents were crying." Violet explains and Matt's expression changes to guilt.
"And you?" Matt asks after a while. "I saw it coming. I know you more than anyone. That's how I found you in the forest. We're like the same person. I already felt it from the morning." Violet explains carefully.
"Oh. That makes sense." Matt speaks lowly. "But I was still sad." Violet adds.
"Okay. Let's go in." Matt mutters and Violet nods, taking out her key and opening the front door.
"Don't be surprised if they all fly on you." Violet stifles a laugh before walking up the stairs towards the living room.
"I'll go first, come up when you want." She says and Matt nods, stopping right in front of the stairs.
Violet walks up the stairs to see everyone sitting on the couch.
Nick, Chris, Elmer, Rosalia, Alahna, Nathan, Mary Lou, Jimmy, and Justin.
"Hey you're back. Is my car fucking safe?" Elmer asks immediately after he saw Violet enter the living room.
"Yes, dude." Violet stifles a laugh. "Where did you even go?" Nick questions.
"Well...about that..." Violet mumbles and if on queue, Matt walks in and stands next to Violet.
Everyone on the couch gasps dramatically.
"I found him." Violet smiles softly, looking up at Matt before looking back at everyone on the couch.
Everyone stayed still, not moving. Like they were waiting for one specific person to hug Matt first.
And that person was Mary Lou.
And Jimmy, of course.
Matt's parents stood up from the couch and both instantly wrapped their arms around their son.
Matt hugs them back and after a couple of seconds, everyone on the couch was hugging Matt.
"Fuck you bro you scared the shit out of me." Chris manages to see the positive in all of this, laughing.
"Sorry dude." Matt laughs back.
Almost everyone cries, and everyone then just sits down onto the couch and appreciates Matt's back and talk.
--
After a couple of hours, everyone was getting tired, especially Matt, so everyone just agreed to go to bed.
Tonight, everyone slept in their own rooms.
