Matt stretches awake dramatically and peels open his eyes. He looks down at Violets limb, sleeping body in his arms and he smiles softly as he gently pulls her a little higher so he can see her face.

Him and Violet went to bed at vaguely 3am maybe, because they couldn't fall asleep.

Violet tiredly peels open her eyes and looks up at Matt. "Good morning." Violet smiles up at him, her voice husky by waking up.

"Good morning." Matt replies with his morning voice and Violet smiles from it.

"How did you sleep?" She asks, rubbing her eyes and tiredly cuddling up closer to Matt.

Matt gives Violet full access to move closer to him by wrapping his arm around her shoulder and pulling her closer.

Violet snuggles close to Matt before she realizes something. "I didn't give you your birthday present. I forgot." Violet groans.

"You can still give it." Matt shrugs and Violet nods before exhaustively whimpering and balling up closer to Matt.

"What's up?" Matt asks softly. "Nothing. I'm just really really tired." Violet speaks truthfully and Matt nods.

Matt wraps both his arms around Violet before covering her fully with the blanket and giving her access to go to sleep again.

An hour later Violet peels open her eyes and rubs them tiredly before sitting up.

She frowns as she scans the room to see Matt nowhere near and she gets up from the bed.

She pushes through the dizziness a she walks around the whole room. Nowhere.

He either has to be in the bathroom or in someone else's room.

She walks over to the bathroom and presses her ear against the door.

When she hears nothing, she knocks on the door.

When it again stays silent, she grabs the door handle and attempts to open the door, but it was locked.

"Matt?" Violet asks out loud, attempting to not let the worry get to her. He's probably just on the toilet.

"Yeah?" Matt sounds from the other side of the door. "What are you...what are you doing?" Violet asks, a tone of worry lacing her voice.

"Using the toilet..." Matt answers. His tone totally changed. "Matt open the door." Violet demands, her voice already quiet in worry.

(was gonna do this later but no thank youuuu)

"No." Matt refuses, his voice brittle. "Angel please open the door." Violet retries, now more gentle.

The lock clicks and Violet breathes in. "Can I come in?" She asks and there's no answer heard behind the door.

She opens the door slowly and her eyes slightly widen but she saw it coming.

"Baby..." Violet whispers softly, kneeling down next to Matt and taking the singular blade out of his hand.

"What happened?" Violet asks softly, tossing the blade in the trash before wetting a cloth.
