I was laying on my bed scrolling and trying to know more about what this phone does. Everyone was out shopping except for me and Abbu. He has some work and I just took an excuse.

Finally the exams are done and Alhamdulillah to be honest, I didn't think it would go this smoothly. Insha Allah this time I have the chance to score well.

I don't know how this month will pass without meeting him. He got busy at work and the last time we met was before my exams. He came to give me chocolates and wished me to do well. Wishing was just an excuse we wanted to meet each other.

We still do talk at night but from a few days it isn't the case. Last time we talked he was stressing about the new project they were going to do. I guess he got busy with that.

In a few days aunty will be coming to take me for the dress selection and I'm getting excited for it. I still haven't decided what to wear.

"Amyrah." The voice was of Abbu's. I immediately kept my phone back and ran downstairs. "Make 3 cups of tea and get some refreshments too." I nodded without looking at him. "Get in the drawing room."

"Jee." I nodded and went straight to the kitchen and started doing the work. Who might be coming at this hour? I hate tea. I got fed up from preparing liters of tea and now just the word itself makes me feel nauseous. The after taste of it is nauseating.

After arranging the tray with biscuits, namkeen, plump cake and the kettle of tea I walked towards the drawing room firming my grip as I don't want to drop it.

"Abbu." I whispered standing near the door. I've no idea if I should casually walk in or ask permission. So for the safe side I called him. "Get in Amyrah." I heard his voice and entered inside and greeted two men in a low voice.

I was about to leave but listening to one of them I stopped in my tracks. "Amyrah Siddique?" He asked and I turned around to look at Abbu who has the same expressions as mine.

"Aaban ki biwi?" (Aaban's wife). He asked and my eyes widened and I felt like my soul was leaving my body.

"Tum kaise jaante ho." (How do you know?). Abbu asked with confusion written on his face but I was numb in my place. I wasn't able to move a finger. "Do maah baad inn ki shaadi hai." (Two months later they are getting married).

"Shaadi?" (Marriage). He looked at me then back at Abbu. "Dobara?" (Again?) He was clearly confused. How does he know about it?

"Dobara se kia muraad hai?" (What do you mean again?). Abbu's voice was getting stern and my entire body turned ice numbing me in my place.

"Hamare gaon mein hi toh un ki shaadi hui." (They got married in our village). And that was enough to shake every fiber of my body. "hai na Farukh?" He looked at his other friend for confirmation.

"Mujhe yaad nahi." (I don't remember). He was trying to think hard and I was feeling Abbu's heated gaze on me. "arey takreeban ek saal phele." (About a year ago). I wanted to run back to my room but my limbs turned rock.

"Haan haan, Mir ke bete se." (Yes yes with Mir's son). Even he remembered. How do they have this photographic memory? I forgot what I wrote in exams and they are remembering something which happened almost a year ago.

"Oh that, we wanted to do the nikkah again. Who will believe kids whether they did it right or not." Abbu let out a laugh and the tremble of my body increased.

They were saying something again but my mind was getting blank. I wasn't able to hear a single thing they were saying. "Amyrah." I flinched badly stepping back.
