AMYRAH.

We were in the canteen eating the junk. In a few weeks our exams are going to start and it was getting hectic. I sipped my juice while listening to Pari's family drama. She was so done with her relatives as they wanted them to marry early but the main part is neither her parents nor her in laws are saying anything but those middle chicks were eating her peace.

She doesn't want to think about marriage until we graduate as she knows they won't allow her everyday nor she can focus on her studies and that's true cause her in laws looked so strict and totally opposite to my family.

We were finally done and stood up to leave for the next class. I held her hand as the world started spinning around me. Why am I getting dizzy frequently? It's not like I'm not eating or anything cause I finally got used to eating long ago.

"Hey, are you alright?" Pari asked holding my upper arms and I gave her a slight nod. All the surroundings were back to normal and I stood straight. "Don't worry I'm fine." I smiled at her.

"Are you sure?" She asked and I nodded. We started walking again but she stopped in the middle and looked at me with widened eyes. "Are there any other symptoms and from when are you feeling dizzy?" She asked.

"Maybe from 3, 4 days I guess and what do you mean other symptoms like what symptoms?"

"Did you take the test?" She asked while making me sit on the nearby bench.

"What test? Are there any surprise tests?" I asked, panicking cause I didn't know about it beforehand.

"Yaar tum toh budhu ki budhu rahogi." (You will always be dumb). She said shaking her head. I was really confused about what she was talking about. "Vomiting or at least nausea?" I shook my head negative.

"Let's go after school and buy the kit." She said.

"Pari I don't understand what you are talking about." I was now getting frustrated by her riddle talks.

"You might be pregnant." As she said the ground slipped beneath me.

"No." I shook my head.

"What?"

"I-I mean.. How can I? I-I don't have any symptoms or anything."

"Amyrah relax." She stepped forward and hugged me, caressing my back. "Why are you freaking out? Nothing is confirmed yet so calm down." She was trying to calm me down but my mind is already getting occupied by numerous possibilities and it's suffocating me.

"Can't we go now to get that cause I don't think Aaban will let me come alone." I want to know it first.

"You are saying to bunk the college?" She asked shocked.

"Yes please." I whispered. I don't know what it is but I'm scared in fact terrified. We have an hour time before the Uni ends so we need to do the task as soon as possible.

She kept looking at me for more than 2 minutes then nodded. "Just calm down, everything is fine." She tried to calm me but my mind is thinking about every possibility that can happen.

Aaban will be at home as the doctor was meant to come for Baba's check up. Alhamdulillah he is absolutely fine now but Aaban got over protective for him and isn't listening to him when it's about his health.
