Amyrah:
It's been a month now that I joined the Uni and to be honest it wasn't anything I expected. Just in the first week they started giving the assignments and the worst part of it is begging my family to give me a phone for the work.
But on the brighter side I made a friend, like a genuine friend. I never was blessed in that category before, as even friendship needs communication, time and fun and those three never existed in my life.
Cotton is growing really fast. Even, she has a family like mine. She never is seen by her own family and it made me so much attached to her. She jumps around in excitement whenever I go to meet her and that melts me.
I walked in the class and sat in one of the corners, I was being bullied but not like it was in high school. The thought itself of it made me shudder. I was pulled back to reality when there was a tap on my shoulder. I looked up to see Sariya.
"Are you done with your homework?" She asked in a cheery voice and I passed the book.
She grinned at me and started copying it. She always forgets to do the work and every day she would copy mine. She is sweet and the fact that she had seen me in the crowd and wanted to become my friend is enough for me.
Soon the professor came and the class started. He started questioning the last class topic, I knew all of it but didn't have the courage to speak. He asked another and I mumbled to myself but Sariya listened to it and answered on my behalf. She is so brave, she always answers on my behalf.
"You got it right again, don't worry your answers will be delivered." She grinned at me and in return I just smiled.
"Attention class." The voice echoed in the class as the professor got every one of us attention.
"By the end of this week, we will be going for the sports competition. Everyone's presence is mandatory as the program is a part of your education. Do fill this form." He announced and passed the forms to one of the boys and he started circulating it.
The day I was looking forward to, something exciting to do in this boring day to day schedule. Well I'm crazy about sports, I love playing outdoors and this was what I was waiting for.
"Do you like playing?" I asked Sariya who was rolling her eyes but as soon as I asked, she looked at me and smiled.
"No, it's gross becoming all sweaty and stinky." She shrugged making faces which made me giggle.
The form was finally passed to us and I immediately started filling it. After every game there is a small box and we have to tick the ones in which we will be participating.
Badminton tick.
Running race tick.
Relay race tick.
Volley ball tick.
Dodgeball tick.
I could tick all the boxes but we have to choose only five. Oh lord! this is going to be so exciting. I hope Abbu will let me go as there is no extra fee to charge nor they have to drop me, the University will be providing all of that.
The day went in a blink and all I did the entire day was day dreaming about it. I'm sure that I'm not getting an ounce of sleep till the d-day arrives. I walked at the back of the Uni to feed cotton. Well my daily routine.
Sariya is allergic to cats so she never come with me. I walked towards my favourite spot and looked around and soon I was invited by cotton's meows. I squatted down on my toes and started petting her, she melted in my palms just like my heart melted looking at her.
I was about to feed her but a shadow covered me from the direct sunlight, I slowly glanced up and saw a boy standing in front of me with his hands stuffed in his pockets, his dark gaze was on me making me gulp.
