AABAN.
Last night's incident kept roaming in my mind. Amyrah looked so disturbed. Even in the morning she seemed off. Why does that family keep suffering her. We shouldn't have attended it in the first place.
I closed the file and leaned my head on the desk. I cannot work knowing she is disturbed. Arranging my things I stood up and walked towards Baba's cabin. Without knocking on the door I walked inside.
"Yes?" He asked, looking up at me, acting like a typical boss. I shook my head with a smile.
"Sir, if you allow can I go home early today?" I acted too.
"And the reason?" He asked. Pushing up his reading glasses and looking at me with a smirk.
"I planned a date for my wife."
"Your wife can wait, work is important."
"No. She can't. I work for her so directly and indirectly she is more important."
He smiled shaking his head. "The reason was valid, permission granted." I chuckled at it.
"Where are you going?"
"Haven't decided yet."
"Tell me if it's nice, I'll take my wife too."
"Budhe ho gaye hai lekin abhi tak impress kar rahe hein ammi ku." (You got old but didn't stop impressing Ammi).
"I don't believe in Chaand hasil ho jaaye toh daag dekhte hai. I believe in Chaand hasil ho jaaye toh vo chaand hi rehta hai balke uske har daag se ishq ho jaata hai."
(I don't believe in, if you get the moon you would point out it's scars instead I believe if you get the moon you will even start loving it's every shape and structure).
"Wahh wahhh wahhh." I clapped at him and he grinned dusting his shoulders. "Apne time mein toh aap kamaal the honge." (You might've been the best in your time).
"Vo toh abhi bhi hun." (Still, I am). He grinned and it made me smile.
"Toh mai jau?" (So, shall I go).
"Hmm." He focused back on the file and waved his hand in a dismissive way.
I immediately took my leave as he might call me for a pending meeting. Taking my car I drove back to the house. Where should I take her today? Finally I reached my destination and climbed out of the car and went straight inside searching for her.
Where is this girl? "Amyrah." I called while checking our room but she wasn't there. She might be with Ammi. I immediately went to her room but she wasn't there as well.
I ran downstairs to the dining room and saw Ammi was busy discussing something with Fahmida bi while cutting some vegetables. "Assalam ul alikum." They both turned around and greeted me back with a smile.
"Ammi, Amyrah kaha hai?" (Ammi, where is Amyrah?). I asked, while scratching the back of my neck.
"Bahar gayi hai." (She went out).
