I was woken up by the sounds of Amyrah groaning. Immediately getting up I sat straight turning the lights on. She was in her sleep but was looking in so much pain. Sweat beads were covering her forehead.
"Amyrah." Whispering her name I stroked her hair. Her eyes were clutched tight and she groaned again. Calling her I shook her shoulders. With heavy eye lids she looked at me and tears rolled from the corner of her eyes.
I made her sit straight and gave her a glass of water. "Shall we go to the doctor?" I asked while massaging her back. She shook her head and leaned back on my chest. I gave some support to her baby bump by lifting it up a little. She let out a sigh of relief and got comfortable on my chest.
"Can you please massage my back." She asked in a whisper. "Sure." I started massaging her back and she took a shaky breath. "What's wrong?"
"It's aching way too much." She was in a lot of pain. She wasn't complaining but looking at her condition I can say her energy is completely drained out.
"Do you wanna eat something?"
"No."
She was mumbling something under her breath, maybe reciting something. I was giving her a full back massage. "I'm coming in a minute." She mumbled sitting straight. "Where?" I raised my brows. She pointed towards the washroom and I nodded helping her to stand up and took her to the washroom while taking some small baby steps.
I stood outside the door leaning on the wall. I glanced at the watch and it was around 3. Closing my eyes I yawned. Ya rab please ease her difficulties and give her some relief. After a minute she came back and I supported her, taking to bed.
"Are your legs aching?" She gave a slight nod. I sat on the floor near her legs and started comforting it. "Aaban na karein, mein theek hun." (Aaban don't do it, I'm fine). She tried to stop me by tapping my shoulder.
"Apni haalat dekh rahi ho?" (Are you even looking at your condition?).
"Doctor ne kaha hein na sab normal hai. Thoda sa dard hai aur kuch nahi. Aap upar aayein mujhe accha nahi lag raha." (The doctor said it's normal. It's just hurting a little nothing to worry about. You come up I don't feel good). She tapped my shoulder but I ignored her and was busy in my work.
"Doctors ke liye yeh aam baat ho sakti hai lekin mein tumhe takleef mein nahi dekh sakta." (It may be normal for doctors but I can't see you in pain). She caressed my cheek with her palm and the other hand was in my hair.
"Bila wajah maine phir aap ki neend kharab kardi." (I disturbed your sleep again). I heard her saying. Rolling my eyes I looked up at her glaring at her cause of her nonsense. "Accha na dara kyun rahe hein." (Why are you scaring me?). She whispered giggling and that smile of hers made my nerves calm completely.
"Then don't talk nonsense." I warned her while my fingers were softly running on her calf muscles. "Aaban." She whispered and I glanced up at her. "Due date khareeb hein." (The due date is near). She was both nervous and excited.
I held her palm and kissed the back of it. "Insha Allah sab kuch theek honga, tum stress na lo." (Everything will be fine, don't stress out). She was maintaining that beauteous eye contact with me.
"Mein stress nahi le rahi par yeh sonch rahi hun ke vo hamare beech so lein ga, hum usse daba toh nahi denge na." (I'm not stressing but thinking of if it could get adjusted in between us, wouldn't we press it). Looking at those adorable expressions of hers made me laugh. This girl is so cute. She is having a baby but is still a child.
"Jaani hum behoshi waali neend nahi sote." (We don't lose consciousness while sleeping). She nodded smiling. "Pata hai Parizay itne saare naam bata rahi thi ki Allah hi reham karein." (You know Parizay was listing out numerous names). She shook her head saying everything with animated expressions.
