AMYRAH.

It had been a long tiring day. My exams are going to start in a few weeks and everything feels burdened now. These two months have been a roller coaster of emotions but the most shocking part was PARIZAY GOT ENGAGED.

Yup she is engaged to her maternal side cousin who is a business man with the best upbringing. She said that they used to be so close in childhood but as they grew up their bond wasn't like before as he went abroad for further studies and lost contact with each other.

But she said she is happy that she is marrying someone she knows already but something within her seems wrong. It felt as if she was pretending to be happy. I tried asking her about what happened between her and Waqar Bhai the other day cause I know she felt something for him then what happened that things went extremely out of the box.

I even asked Aaban to try to know something from Waqar Bhai but he said he isn't telling anything. He changed a lot from before. He isn't the guy I knew once. He became all serious and grumpy. He isn't cracking jokes or flirting with anyone.

Something big has happened between them and I'm aware I can't force pari to talk to me when she doesn't want it. After all it's their personal matter and I don't want to interfere in it. She said she is happy with her engagement and I pray for her happiness.

Whatever happens will happen by Allah's will and I trust him blindly. Whatever he does will have an inner motive which would be hidden for us but with time we will solve it.

I shook away these thoughts and focused on my book and started studying with Daisy on my lap. I was comfortably seated in my bean bag while sipping the juice.

It was already past 11 but Aaban was still not home. Baba came a long while ago and when I asked him about that workaholic guy he said he was busy in some meetings. It feels like he got a second wife.

Ek din mai zaroor chapa marungi unke office, dekhte hai aisa konsa kaam hai jo raat raat bhar chalta hai. Marungi zarur marungi.

I grinned evilly and just in time the door opened and I immediately started revising what all I learnt today. "Assalam ul alikum." His heavy rich voice made my inside mush.

I looked at him. "Walikum as salaam." And greeted back. He smiled and was undoing his sleeves buttons. I closed my books and walked towards him. He looked extremely tired and I was really feeling bad for him.

"Khana lagwau aap ke liye?" (Shall I serve the food). I asked, to which he shook his head. "Maine bahar kha liya tha." (I already ate outside). He took his clothes and towel and walked to the washroom to freshen up.

He takes a bath twice a day and looking at him I feel lazy. He will be fresh all the time. I laid on the bed scrolling through my phone. After a while he came back drying his hair with the hand towel.

Without saying anything he came towards the bed and laid on it with his face on my chest and his hands holding my waist. My heart beats raised by his sudden action. I slowly took the towel from the bed and started drying it.

"Tired?" I asked in a whisper to which he nodded, nuzzling more. I ran my fingers through his scalp feeling the softness of his hair. I pecked his head and started massaging his scalp.

He let out a sigh and tightened his grip around my waist. I pulled the covers on us and kept caressing him. "Aaban you know what happened today.." I started distracting him and he soon slept in my arms. I again pecked his head and closed my eyes with my arms securely wrapped around his neck.
