Akshita's pov

Last night the business party was amazing. I enjoyed myself. Lucas sir was very friendly with me, It felt nice to finally enjoy life.

I was now on the way towards the office. I had woken up a little late and hence I got late to work.

"Why are you late?" Sir asked as soon as I walked into his cabin for telling his schedule.

"Sorry, i woke up late."

"Okay, let it be, what's my schedule?"
I began telling him everything.

"That's it sir, you are free after 3 pm today."

"Okay, do one thing. Arrange a meeting with Mr. petrov."

"Okay sir. Anything else?"

"Nothing. You can leave." I nodded and left.

I glanced at the clock- 9:15 AM. I began working on the presentation when Lucas sir emerged out from his cabin, a stack of files in hand. His sharp, piercing eyes met mine for a brief second before he placed the files on my desk.

"Akshita, I need these reports filed and sent to the clients by noon." There was a subtle intensity in his voice, the kind that always made my heart race, though I'd never admit it aloud, ofc i couldn't, he is my boss.

"Of course, sir." I replied, my voice steady.

I reached for the files, feeling the weight of his gaze on me for a moment longer than necessary. As he turned to walk back to his office, I allowed myself a small sigh of relief.

I began working onto the files. I began reviewing and making notes on the same. Simultaneously, I had to complete the presentation as well. Everything has to be perfect, one thing I learned after working for Lucas sir is, I started to push my limits, trying to be perfect.

A soft chime from my phone interrupted my thoughts. I glanced at the screen and saw a message from sir.

Meeting at 10. Bring the financial projections.

I quickly gathered the necessary documents and headed to the conference room. As I entered, sir was already there, setting up his laptop. His eyes flicked up to meet mine, for a split second.

"Everything ready?" he asked, breaking the moment.

"Yes, sir. Here are the projections." I said, handing him the neatly organized files.

As the meeting progressed, I couldn't help but admire his commanding presence. Sir had a way of articulating his vision that left everyone in the room captivated. It was no wonder the company thrived under his leadership.

After the meeting, I returned to my desk, feeling a sense of accomplishment. Working for Lucas sir came with its own challenges, but everything felt easy when he helped me out.

The rest of the day flew by in a blur of tasks and deadlines. As I packed up to leave, Lucas called out to me from his office.

"Akshita, a moment?" he said, his tone soft.

I stepped into his office, closing the door behind me. He looked up from his desk, a small smile lingering on his lips.

"I wanted to thank you for your hard work today."

"Thank you, sir." I replied, feeling a warmth spread through me at his words.

"Good night, corazón." he said, his gaze lingering on me as I turned to leave.

"Good night, sir." I replied, stepping out into the cool evening air.

I gathered my things and left for home. The cool night breeze, the dark streets gave me a sense of peace. I hummed softly as I walked towards my apartment , the moonlight shining in its glory.
