Akshita's pov

It has been 6 months since I started to work as a pa. It's not a tough job to work for him. I agree he is a little short tempered and keeps scolding me but I don't feel bad, I never felt bad when he scolded me. In fact, I wanted to improve and prove myself to him.

As this job pays me well, I could afford at least eating once a day. At first I had to skip a few days to have a meal or have it on an alternate day, so I could save some money for the rent.

"Ms. Rawal? Done day dreaming?" I flinched in my seat and looked up to see my boss.

"Sorry sir."

"Let it be, is the meeting room ready ?" Oh shit ! I forgot to inform him about the cancellation of the meeting.

"Sorry actually-"

"What?"

"The meeting has been cancelled from the clients side, sorry I forgot to inform you."

"Idiot! God, why do you even do such things? How many times do I need to tell you to stop forgetting things, stop being an idiot. Start behaving properly and maturely. Gosh! Such a kid."

"Sorry sir, I won't repeat it." He nodded.

"Don't repeat it again." And he left.

I sat on my seat and thought about his words. Was I really a child ? I- I never experienced being a child after my parents. When everyone enjoyed their childhood , I was busy running and trying to protect myself.

"Again ?" He yelled.

"I was thinking about work." I lied.

"Okay, and what were you thinking exactly about work?" He asked, suspiciously.

"The clients, umm about the meeting which is after lunch." I lied quickly.

"Okay." And he went inside. I took a huge breath of relief. I shook my head and began working.

After lunch, I went to arrange the meeting room. Keeping everything in place, checking on the projectors and technical things, everything was all set. I smiled and stood near the door to welcome all the guests.

After the meeting, when I came to my desk, I saw a chocolate bar. I smiled, reading the note. There was a sorry written on it. I kept the sticky note with other notes in my drawer safely.

That's the one thing about my boss. Whenever he scolds me, he keeps a chocolate bar for me with a small sorry note. I sat on my chair and kept the chocolate in my bag. I would eat it once I am back home.

I engrossed myself in reading the new file, when the intercom rang. I received the call.

"In my cabin." I heard sir's stern voice and then a beep. I shook my head at his tone and stood up. I knocked on the door and entered after receiving the permission.

"Did you get your chocolate?" He asked once I took a seat on my chair, opposite his desk.

"Yes sir,"

"Now, I want you to print these documents, arrange them in a file and make a few points for the presentation."

"Okay sir, anything else ?"

"The printer on this floor isn't working , you need to go one floor below."

"Okay sir, that's not a problem."

"I never said it was, I just informed you. Be careful." I nodded my head at his words and left.

I took the stairs to go down, since it's just one floor. Who even takes the elevator all the time. I walked in through the corridor and towards the printing machine.
