15. Her birthday

Lucas's pov

I landed in India a few minutes back, right now I am on the way to the hotel where I will be staying. I dropped mom and akshita a message that I landed.

It's around 9:30 am here in India. I will go to the hotel, get ready quickly and set off for the meeting which is at 12 pm. Initially it was at 10 am but I told them to adjust the timings.

India is a beautiful place, especially Mumbai. The traffic here sucks but well who cares.

After the meeting me and Mr. Rathore were talking when he is cell rang. He quickly picked up the call almost forgetting I was with him. I sadly pouted at his back.

Gosh! Me pouting? Akshita's personality for sure is rubbing on me.

I smiled hearing his one sided conversation, it seemed like he is the perfect family man.

After he said his goodbyes, he hung up the call. " Your family?" He looked at me a little startled.

Well, I guess he really forgot my presence.

"Yeah! My wife and son." He said with a smile.

"Your son must be cute, I heard his giggles through the phone." I spoke with a cheeky smile.

"Sure, he is a cutie. I love his giggles."

"How old is he?"

"5 months."

Oh my gosh! So cute. I love babies, they are absolutely cute.

"Oh! I am sure he must be cute. Congratulations new dad." He smiled and thanked me.

"Hopefully, you will be bringing him along with you to the party." He nodded his head.

"Glad! I would love to meet your son." He smiled. I told him to call me by my first name and he told me to do the same.

During the party a blunder happened, rudransh's wife and son went missing. I helped him search for them by asking my team to trace them.

After getting the information, we were quick to rescue both of them. The baby was all the time asleep in my arms. I feel a different connection with the baby, there is something about him but i shrugged this thoughts off.

In all this chaos, i forgot to call or message my sweet akshita. So, the next day when I got free, I called her and had a conversation. Staying in India for 3 days was an overall good experience.

A month later, i was preparing for her birthday which is tomorrow but then i recieved a bad news. The deal which we were working on got cancelled due to blunder by akshita. I scolded her but felt bad when I saw her tears.

Right now, we are driving towards her orphanage where she stayed for 7-8 years of her life. Her face had a different glow and definitely my corazón looks beautiful in the saree.

"We reached." I informed her who was busy in her phone. She looked up and smiled seeing the orphanage.

The orphanage was built at a very beautiful place, it was surrounded by trees, had a small playground for kids. I parked my car and we got down. I carried the 5 bags she bought with her which contained gifts for the 25 kids staying here.

As soon as we stepped into the orphanage, akshita quickly yelled out,"Hi kids!" All the kids ran upto her and hugged her tightly. I looked at her radiant smile as she patted on each kid's hair softly greeting them.
