11. Dark Moon Mission

Akshita's pov

It was a beautiful day and date with Lucas, last night. I enjoyed every bit of my time with him. It's just something about him which makes me go crazy, makes me fall for him more.

I got ready for the early meeting, I needed to go ahead and prepare the meeting room. I reached the office building and soon I got busy with arranging the room, instructing the staff about few things.

An hour later, it was finally done. I suddenly gasped when two arms wrapped around my waist but soon relaxed realising it's him.

"You scared me." I muttered with a small pout.

"Not my intention baby, is everything ready?"

"Yeah, it is. Look around. I checked for the technical issues as well. The meeting will be a success."

"Okay, my sweet baby. You worked so hard. Now, go drink some water and come back, hm?" I nodded and left.

As i told, the meeting was a success but something about the client, it felt different. She was trying to do something which for some reason gave me some bad vibes. I couldn't keep an eye on her for long, since I had to take down the important points.

"Nice meeting you Mr. Moretti, it will be pleasure working with you." She said, as they stood up for a handshake. For some reason, she kept shaking their hands not ready to move away.

"Yeah, will see. Now, excuse me." Lucas said and left the room. I was about to go behind him but stopped was stopped by the client.

"Yes, Ms. Maya?"

"Stay away from him." I grew confused but then she continued speaking," I can see the way you were glancing at him during the meeting, so I am warning you. Stay the fuck away from him, he is mine."

I chuckled at her words, while she kept glaring at me. I composed myself and spoke,"He is not some property to be yours. So, be in your limits. You are here for a business deal, so let it be that, don't try to act smart." The look on her face was worth watching.

"How dare you?" She yelled. Since, it's just we both in the meeting room.

"You haven't seen my dare yet. So, don't force me to do something about it, and fix your attitude."

"This is how you talk to all the clients? What do you think of yourself? You are just a secretary, so it's you who needs to be in her limits."

"Well, I am very polite with all the clients, until someone tries to cross a boundary. I am not one of those who is scared to speak out facts." She was just getting angrier by my words, while i seem to enjoy her reaction more than anything.

"You will regret it." She yelled.

"Don't yell, I am not scared of you." I spoke and turned to leave when I was pulled back through my hairs. She tightly gripped them, making me wince in pain.

"I will bloody show you now, just wait and see." She left my hairs with a jerk and walked towards Lucas's cabin.

I rearranged my appearance and ran towards his cabin. The scene inside broke my heart a little, that client was trying to seduce him but what made me laugh was that she was failing miserably as Lucas didn't paid her any heed.

"Lucas sir." He looked up in alarm. I internally laughed at the face he made.

"What's wrong?" He asked, walking towards me in a quick pace. I shook my head and entered his cabin.

"Nothing? Then why did you call me sir? Did someone say something to you?" He asked me worriedly.

"No, don't worry." I spoke with a soft smile. From my side vision, I could see Maya was fuming in anger.
