8. Ignoring

It has been few weeks since lucas's accident. He joined, the office a week back. All this time, I have successfully avoided him. I feel bad doing it to him but I can't help myself. He is going to hate me once he knows I am in love with him.

I have read the contract , it's one of his Clauses. It was clearly written, the secretary can't crush or fall in love with her boss. If it happens, she will be fired with immediate action.

I have heard, he didn't have any female secretary except one in the past who crossed her limits and tried to touch him. He had immediately fired her and she faced severe consequences.

The intercom broke my thoughts. I quickly answered it ,"Akshita, get me coffee." I heard his voice.

"Okay Lucas." And i hung up the call. I walked down and quickly came back with his coffee.

I knocked on the door, when I  heard a come in, I entered inside without looking at him. I placed the mug on the table and left the cabin. I don't look into his eyes or even at his face for these past days.

I took a seat at my place and began working. Few minutes later, a beep was heard from my phone. I took a look at it. It was a reminder I set for the meeting.

Time for a meeting.

I knocked on the cabin door waiting for a response. A few minutes later, I heard come in.

"It's time for the meeting." He nodded his head and stood up, collecting his things.

I followed him from behind. I suddenly stopped realising something. Oh shit! Not now.

"Umm...Lucas, I just need to take a quick trip to restroom, will it be okay?" Lucas stopped in his tracks, turning to look at me.

"What if I tell no?" He asked, with a smug face.

"It won't work Lucas, it's emergency." I spoke, panicked. I can't possibly stain myself.

"I was kidding. You may go." I nodded gratefully and almost ran towards my desk. I rummage through my bag to find that particular thing which is missing.

Why me? I thought with a frown.

Oh yeah! The restroom contains this thing. I am so stupid. I entered the washroom and walked towards the machine. As my luck would have it, it was out of stock.

For fuck sake , why there is no sanitary pad?

What should I do now? I don't have any friends here. I can't possibly go out to buy it, I am afraid I might stain myself.

The only option I have is Lucas. I will need to take his help. It's going to be quite embarrassing.

I fished out my phone from the Jean's pocket, with shaky hands I dialled his number. It rang for few seconds until it got answered. "Hello Lucas." I spoke with a shaky breath. I am sure, he might have noticed the waver in my voice.
