21. The Past

Lucas's pov

I reached his dungeon perfectly at 12 pm. His best friend and brother of shivu asked me to wait in rudransh's cabin.

5 minutes later, rudra came into his cabin with a small smile on his face. We greeted each other and took our seats on the couch.

"Rudra, this is strange but I need to know, did you have any idea about me being.........." And i told him about my whole past. How it was hidden by someone.

"I had no fucking idea. Gosh! I thought he died not by drowning but after being kidnapped." Rudra exclaimed in shock.

"When did you get to know about all this?"

"When I first talked with her parents, that's when I started searching for the past and digging into it."

"Why did you hide it? It was so hard to find out about it."

"I didn't want anya to be hurt."

"Oh!" We both stayed in silence. I never realised but we could be this....

"Let's tell this to both of them." I muttered and stood up. We quickly drive to his place.

We entered inside to see both the girls talking with each other and shivansh asleep in his crib.

"Shivu and akshu, we need to tell you something." This gained both their attention.

"Huh? We?"

"Rudra and me."

"Okay. Say." Shivu spoke.

"Lucas, is it something about your past? Did you finally find your parents?" Akshita asked me worriedly. I sat down besides her.

"Yes darling."

"Who?"

"Girish and Nandani chauhan." I saw colour drain out from Shivanya's face.

"W-what?" She shuttered, she was almost on verge of crying.

"What's happening guys?" Akshita looked between us confused.

"T-they were my foster parents." Shivanya mumbled.

"What the heck?" Akshita exclaimed.

"Sh..quiet darling. The Baby is sleeping."

"Sorry." I shook my head.

"Are you Ruhan bhaiya?" Shivanya asked with her teary eyes.

"Yes." I gave her a nod.

"H-how? You drowned that day."

"I didn't die. That guard fucking lied."

"Why would he?"

"Because he wanted revenge from Girish and Nandani."

"Why? I mean, what did exactly happened that day?"

*Flashback* (Author's pov)

After ruhan was declared dead by the guard, his parents seemed to believe the guard and didn't think of cross-checking.

The guard who was from the rival's side, took his chance and transferred ruhan's body into a van and signalled the others to quickly flew away from the scene.

In the backyard, Girish and nandani had taken shivanya to the hospital and totally forgot about their dead son. Shivanya, overwhelmed by the sight, had fainted beside her brother.

The next day, at the funeral, the family mourned their loss, unaware that the body in the casket was not really Ruhan. The guard's plan had worked, they tricked the family into believing that their eldest son had died.
