Akshita's pov
I looked on as advika dramatically explained about some age old incident that happened at the orphanage. I kept giving my inputs in between and agreeing to her.
My baby is already so comfortable with us, I am sure we will get to adopt her, soon she will be ours.
"We are here!" Lucas announced cheerfully. I smiled and looked at advika who looked a little dazed.
"Sunshine, it's just us." She looked at me and nodded.
Lucas came up and opened the door for us. He helped me get down first and I gave him a smile. He smiled back and kissed my cheeks. I blushed softly.
Lucas carefully picked up advika and placed her on her feet. She smiled, "lulu bear, can you come down?"
Lucas looked confused but nodded, he knelt down and i almost melted seeing advika place a kiss on his cheek and shyly hide her face behind her tiny palms.
"Aww! My baby sunshine." He muttered and kissed her cheeks.
"Let's head in, don't you want to see your new home?" Lucas asked excitedly as he stood up.
Advika carefully held his index finger with her tiny fist. She turned towards me and said, "Your hand, akki?" I smiled and forwarded my hand. She clasped them in her tiny fist.
"Le goo!" She squealed.
(Let's go)
We three walked towards our home. I smiled looking at advika who was excited and bouncing at every step she took.
"I'm happy." She said looking at me and then him. I smiled.
"We too." Me and Lucas mumbled together.
We took the elevator up to the top floor, a quiet anticipation buzzing in the air. Lucas slid the key into the lock, the sound of it clicking open echoing softly around us. With a gentle push, he opened the door, and we stepped inside together, hand in hand.
The room unfolded in front of us, a blend of warmth and elegance, reflecting the perfect mix of comfort and luxury. Advika’s eyes widened, taking in every detail, and I couldn’t help but smile at her wonderstruck expression.
Lucas closed the door behind us, then turned around, watching us with a look that melted my heart. "Welcome to your new home, sunshine," he said softly, looking down at Advika.
Her little face lit up with a wide smile as she looked around at us, excitement and curiosity dancing in her eyes.
"Thenkew." she mumbled shyly, her words melting our hearts.
(Thank you)
"Let me show you around," I chimed in, reaching out to take her tiny hand.
"Otayy." she agreed in her small voice, nodding enthusiastically.
(Okay)
Lucas leaned in with a gentle smile. "I’ll whip up something special for dinner."
"Yummy food?" she asked, her gaze fixed on him with hope.
"Yes, baby," he promised warmly. "What do you want to eat?"
"Umm... don’t know," she murmured softly, her expression turning pensive.
"No worries, baby. Do you like noodles?" I offered, wanting to see her smile again.
"Yes! Noodles!" she exclaimed, her excitement making us both chuckle.
"You love noodles?" Lucas asked curiously, a playful glint in his eyes.
"No… I no have it." she confessed, the joy in her tone fading as she looked down, her lips curving into a small pout.
