Lucas's pov

The next morning arrived sooner then expected. I couldn't get a blink of sleep yesterday, All I could think of was akshita.

Gosh! The way she has me wrap around her little finger.

I walked into the restroom, which was in the room itself, to wash my face. When I returned, I noticed a slight movement in her fingers. It seemed like she was finally going to wake up.

Last evening, the doctor returned and attached a saline drip to her hand, giving her nutrients through it. The nurse also came twice during the night to change the saline.

"Sh..careful. It's fine." I held her hand which was connected to saline, afraid she might hurt herself.

"Aah! It hurts."

"Sh..I know baby, but it will be fine. I will go and get a doctor." I quickly went out to get the doctor.

Several minutes later, the doctor examined her and gave the green light for her discharge today.

"Take care of your diet, Ms. Rawat." She nodded her head weakly.

"I will take my leave then, if everything is settled?" I nodded, he silently left the ward, closing the door behind him.

"Are you okay?" I asked her in a soft tone. She looked quite taken aback by my tone.

"I- I am." I simply nod.

"Good. I will be bringing you soup. You need to have that and then the meds after which you are free to go home."

"Hospital food? Please, no."

"You need to eat it, also i grant you a week leave to rest."

"You stayed the night?" She asked.

"Yes, I did." She muttered something under her breath.

"What did you say?"

"Thank you." She squeaked out. I know she is lying. The way she is fiddling with her fingers gives away her lies.

"I know you are lying but I will let it slide. For now!" I said, and stood up.

"Where are you going?" She exclaimed.

"To get you food." She nodded, and i left.

Sometimes later, I am feeding her the soup while she continues to show tantrums.

"Corazón! Drink quietly." She pouted but quietly finished the soup. I softly patted her head once and stood up.

"I will go and complete the discharge formalities, you go and change back to your clothes, hm?"

"Okay."

I helped her inside her apartment. I made her sit on the couch and went to get her and myself a glass of water.

"Are you settled now?" I asked, as she comfortably sat on the couch.

"Yes, is there something you want to ask me?" Her voice is slow.

"I do, tell me honestly what happened on the day of my accident. Why have you been so distanced since then?" I saw her squirming slightly in her seat, she looked quite uncomfortable.

"Nothing. I am not distanced."

"Are you lying to yourself?"

"N-no."

"Please, I beg you. Tell me everything. What went wrong that day? Did someone say something to you or is it my best friend?"

"Nothing happened that day Lucas, nothing. Everything is good."
