Last night, after our discussion, I was determined to learn how to cook. I walked into the modern kitchen, equipped with everything I needed. The modern yet classy design of the kitchen allured me, making me want to start cooking.

I sat on the bar stool placed in front of the kitchen counter and began surfing the internet to find some easy breakfast ideas.

After watching a few videos, I decided to prepare pancakes, as they seemed easy to make and are Advika's favorite.

I quickly began searching for the ingredients to make pancakes. Once, I had everything, I began making the batter, which flew here and there due to my messy skills.

Once, the batter was prepared. I put the non-stick pan on the stove and turned on the flames carefully. I waited for it to heat up.

A few minutes later, I tried the technique shown in the video to check if the pan was hot enough. I sprinkled a few drops of water on the pan, it sizzled up and bounced. I stepped back in fear.

Ooh! Scary.

After the water droplets completely disappeared, I took a spoonful of pancake batter and carefully spread it on the pan. I stood there patiently, waiting for it to cook. After, I was sure it was cooked, I carefully tried to flip but failed miserably.

I groaned out in annoyance and threw away the spoiled pancake onto the plate. I took another spoon of batter to cook.

A few unsuccessful attempts later, I groaned in annoyance and pushed the pan away not realising it was burning hot. I cried out in pain holding my hand.

Suddenly, my hands were taken in hold by someone, looking up I noticed it was Lucas with worry etched onto his face. He carefully took me to the sink which was behind us, he kept my hands under the tap and turned it on.

"Who told you to push the pan like that?" He scolded me softly as he continued to hold my hands under the running water.

"Sorry, I didn't realised it. I was frustrated after my several failed attempts to not be able to make pancakes."

"Baby, you would've waited for me. I would've taught you."

"But I wanted to do it alone." I pouted trying to get away from his scolding.

"Don't pout, darling. Consequences might be hard for you." He muttered with a wink.

I shook my head at his attempt to flirt, "Stupid." I muttered.

"It's you who is stupid jaan, what if you got more hurt?"

"It's very less. See." I showed him my red palms.

"I can see that, less." He taunted. I pouted again, unknowingly.

"By the way, when did you come?" I asked, once he dried my hands.
