Akshita's pov

The next day, we had our haldi in the morning. We both were going to celebrate it together and then we won't be meeting until the wedding which is in the evening.

The beach was beautifully decorated with delicate garlands of white jasmine, daisies, and bright yellow sunflowers, all strung together and draped around the wooden canopy.

A round backdrop stood behind my seat, decorated with big yellow artificial flowers and green leaves. The bright flowers were arranged along the top and sides, blending beautifully with the greenery, creating a fresh and cheerful look. It added a vibrant touch to the Haldi ceremony.

Me and Lucas were sat beside eachother. Everyone had already taken their seats and the songs were playing in the background.

Lucas's mother came forward, with a bright smile. Her hands dipped into the bowl, and she added turmeric to my arms, her touch just as gentle. "Welcome to the family, my dear," she whispered softly. She did the same to Lucas as well, blessing us both. Next came his father who did the same for us and left for his seat after blessing us.

Next came Rudra bhai's mother, with a gentle smile, her eyes filled with warmth and kindness. She knelt beside me and softly applied the paste to my cheeks, her touch delicate and comforting. "You're glowing already, Akshita," she said with a tender laugh. I smiled, the warmth of her presence filling the void I felt inside.

Rudra bhai's mom applied the haldi to Lucas as well. She and Lucas's mom went to sit together, looking at them I felt my heart swell with gratitude as both the mother figure showered me with love and blessings.

Rudra bhai's dad and brother couldn't attend due to some problem at their business in Jaisalmer.

My eyes met with Lucas, he was grinning looking at me. As soon as both the mothers left, the youngsters came in running to ruin us. I was quick on my feets to run.

We all giggled and laughed as we played holding with the haldi. Finally, the haldi war was over as both the mom's warned us to go take a shower. We had booked a 2 cabin house on the beach, the girls went to one and the boys to the other.

I went to take the shower first, I was already feeling itchy and it took me an whole hour to remove the haldi completely from my body. Other girls were already done with their shower. There were 2 bathrooms in this cabin

"Let's go, now you won't be seeing you Lucas." Shivi di teased me. We all left the from back door, so Lucas couldn't spot me.
