Jessica kept running and running, not sure from what anymore. “I-is it gone?” She asked herself silently, looking behind her. Nothing. The ‘thing’ was gone. “Good.” She answered, catching her breath. “I hope it doesn’t find me. It didn’t even look the same... not even like-” She stopped herself, shaking the thought from her head.
“I have to keep going. Who knows what others I’ll run into.” She sighed, continuing to walk. She didn’t know where she was going, but she was going to find at least someone. She didn’t care who at this point. She stopped at a big shelter. It was the one she was staying at until a few weeks ago. Probably everyone left it when it got infested.
She squinted at a figure in one of the windows. Every single person in there was infected. “Is... no... the ocelots left immediately, too.” She thought aloud quietly. She immediately ran away, stopping at a tree away from it. She then began walking, a clear path in her head. They had to go down this path. It showed clear footprints.
