IN THE MORNING…

“So, how long do you think it’s going to take to get there?” Axel asked. “If we have no interruptions, less than a day.” Jessica answered honestly. “I mean, it did take us a day to get to the cave, and that WITH stops.” Jessica pointed out.

“True.” Axel added. As they walked, Jessica looked at Axel, who was obviously stuck in thought. She could tell what it was by the expression on his face. “I wanted to ask, and I know this isn’t a good time to ask, but how many infected have you ran into? I feel like I ran into every single one.” Jessica joked.

“Maya, the griefers at Boomtown, Aiden, Gabriel, Magnus, sort of Petra, and Ivor, but Petra was dead.” Axel answered. “Gabriel was infected, too!?” Jessica asked, shocked. Axel nodded. “Very much.” He added.

“I ran into Petra, Gill, Maya, people at Redstonia, Gill again, Petra again, Aiden, and that’s it.” Jessica answered. “Damn, Redstonia, too?” He questioned. “Yup.” She sighed. “Hm.” Axel mumbled, looking to the side. Jessica frowned. “We’ll fix this.” Jessica assured Axel. “I sure hope so.” Axel added.

“Same. Jesse will be the first to cure.” She smiled. Axel smiled back. He never really got close with Jessica because of her being friends with Lukas, but it was nice. He just hoped that they would actually be able to. They both did.
