They snuck in, Jessica grabbing a torch and looking around for a chest or something. “Awfully quiet.” Lukas pointed out. “Yeah, and creepy.” Axel added. Jessica poked around, the other two following. “I don’t think anyone’s here...” Jessica stated.

“Agreed.” Lukas whispered. Jessica noticed a chest over in the far corner of the room. “Look! A chest!” She yelled in a whisper. She rushed over, looking through it. “What’s in it?” Axel asked. “A bow, arrows, gunpowder, a book, string, bandages, weapons, that stuff.” Jessica answered.

Jessica quickly took the stuff and put them in her inventory. “That’s it?” Lukas questioned her more. She nodded. A weird noise echoed through the safe place. It was a screech. “Oh no...” Jessica muttered. She quickly closed the chest. “Okay, we got everything we nee-” She began to say, then looked out the window. It was Gill.

He was all bloody, and his bones were sticking out. His mouth was hanging down, like Jesse’s was back in the lab, except with sharp teeth covered in blood. He had something in his mouth. It was someone’s intestines. It clicked in Jessica’s head. “He ate people.” she muttered.

“What?” Lukas asked. “The infected, they eat people.” Jessica added. “What!? I thought they didn’t do that!?” Axel stated. Jessica remained silent. “Wait... Jessica, didn’t you WATCH Gill rip out Aiden’s organs?” Lukas asked. She nodded. “That must mean...” Lukas started, slowly realizing, standing in silence.

“We need to leave, now.”
