“My head.” Jesse groaned with pain, sitting up. “Damn you, Ivor.” Magnus added, sitting up. “You good, Legless?” Magnus asks, seeing that he didn’t look ok. “Yeah. J-just got crushed, that’s all.” He whimpered in pain, putting up a thumbs up
Jesse glared at Axel, knowing what happened. “I didn’t mean to, okay.” He answered. “But I wish it killed him.” He muttered under his breath. Jesse sighs, helping Lukas up and grabbing the fallen sword. “Thanks, Jesse.” Lukas smiled. “No problem.” Jesse added.
Ivor emerged from the shadows, having a man bun and looking like he was creating something with the outfit he had on. “So, I see you need my help. I’m surprised that Magnus didn’t get you guys killed. I think I'd rather that than have these bastards here.” Ivor replied, glaring at Magnus.
“It’s not our fault you started an infectious virus for revenge!” Jesse budged in. Ivor glared at Jesse. “Correction, YOU did. I had a potion to stop the Witherstorm, I had everything under control! But you guys stole my potion and it was too late! Now people are dying and killing themselves because of your pettiness!” Ivor yelled. “Jesse wasn’t the one to steal it.” Axel answered.
Ivor glared. “Stay out of it, dickwad.” Ivor threatened. “He didn’t! He didn’t even want to steal it! I did it. I stole it. I thought it wouldn’t do anything.” Axel added. Ivor stared at him for a moment. “Well, I guess you didn’t. Real nice choice of friends. Ones that start an outrageous virus that people kill themselves over and probably lose someone a LEG. Reminds me of the Old Order, and how stupid they were.” Ivor answered confidently.
Everyone glared at Ivor, mostly Magnus and Jesse. “Stop acting like you're so strong, Ivor. I could take you out in a second!” Magnus rolled his eyes. “I guess you won’t be needing my help then.” Ivor threatened. Magnus glared daggers at Ivor. “Just tell us what we need to do and if you can help.” Magnus mumbled.
Ivor smirked. “Well, my pleasure.” Ivor chuckled, leading them to his lab. Jesse continued to glare at Ivor the whole way there. “You good, Jess?” Lukas asked, seeing how Jesse was and knew that it probably hurt what Ivor said about him starting this. “It’s Ivor’s fault we're here. He’s just too much of a pussy to admit it.” Jesse answered.
“Mhm, you don’t scam anyone out of something as valuable like a diamond, and create a giant monster creature to kill people.” Lukas agreed. Ivor flipped a lever to open a big door to enter the lab, showing his lab off. “I was able to catch an infected person and keep them contained.” Ivor said, pointing to the glass cage.
Lukas and Jesse paused. “What’s wrong, Jess?” Axel asked. Axel walked over, then realized. It was Aiden. He was infected. He had tentacles that were weak and limp, with one of his arms a big claw and he had the same features as the others, purple veins, white eyes, dripping black blood, could see some bones, holes in his body. He had multiple burns on his body, and they looked extremely painful. “The fuck.” Jesse muttered.
“I mean, he kinda deserved to be infected after what he did, but being locked up is something no one should have to witness, let alone whatever killed him, he doesn’t even seem to have organs.” Axel answered.
“The hell is this, Ivor!?” Jesse yelled. “What? Oh, him. I found him near a tree, dead. His organs were like ripped out of something I’m assuming. He was dead but was starting to show signs of arising, so I have him as my test subject.” Ivor answered honestly.
“But he’s still human, sure he’s infected, but no one deserves to be locked up. If you're going to do this you might as well kill him! He’s not a thing! He’s a human!” Jesse argued.“He is a mindless, ruthless, heartless, infected. He isn’t human anymore, he’s lost that part of him since he got infected.” Ivor added strictly. Ivor continued.
“We’ll get this fixed Jesse, we’ll help everyone out. Even Aiden. Even if he ditched us.” Lukas comforted Jesse. “This isn’t right, none of this is!” Jesse added. “I know. I don’t agree with any of this. But we’ll fix everything. I promise.” Lukas smiled. It comforted Jesse a little.
