The next day, Lukas woke up under the tree they decided to rest at. He looked around for Aiden. Nothing. “Aiden?” Lukas called out, looking for him. It clicked. “That bastard!” Lukas answered in a pissed tone. Jesse immediately woke up. “Huh? What happened?” Jesse answered, rubbing his eyes.
“AIDEN LEFT US TO DIE!” Lukas yelled, mostly being mad at Aiden. “What?” Jesse replied, looking for Aiden around the area. He was gone. “That bastard took his stuff and left! I fucking saved him!” Lukas pointed out. Jesse stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
“THAT FUCKING BACKSTABBING PIECE OF SHIT!” Lukas yelled in anger, kicking the tree. “Lukas, how about you take a breather.” Jesse answered, putting his hand on Lukas’s shoulder. Lukas sighed, leaning against the tree, Jesse joining him. “I just wish he actually gave a fuck about people other than himself.” Lukas added.
“I feel you.” Jesse said. “Wanna try and find him?” Jesse asked. “At this point, what good is it going to do?” Lukas answered, then added. “All he’s going to do is run off AGAIN. Let’s just try and find actual shelter.” Lukas answered, standing up. “I could go for that.” Jesse smiled.
“I’m sorry about the past, Jesse. I’ve wanted to say that for a while, but you know how Aiden is.” Lukas smiled back. “Don’t have to tell me twice. Thanks, I appreciate it. Sorry for Axel. He means good, but he just holds a lot of grudges.” Jesse added. “I don’t know if I could forgive Axel, but I can forgive you. How about a truce?” Lukas asked.
“Aren’t we technically in one?” Jesse joked. Lukas laughed. “True, but even after this, do we agree to be peaceful with each other? At least, us to be.” “Sure! I’d love to.” Jesse said, gesturing a hand. Lukas took his hand, shaking it in agreement.
