“What do we need next?” Lukas asked, looking over Jessica’s shoulder. “I don’t think we need anymore. Let’s just test it out first.” Jessica answered. “On what!? No one’s infected, and no one can be cured and fine!” Axel complained.

“Ellegaard. She’ll be fine. She wouldn't be THAT far into the infection.” Jessica answered. “That was the same case with Jesse, and look where that led us!” Axel argued. “We at least have to try!” Jessica insisted. Axel sighed. “Fine. I’ll go and find Ellegaard, wherever the fuck she is.” Axel added.

“I’ll come with you.” Lukas insisted, Jessica immediately grabbing his wrist. “You’re staying.” Jessica demanded. “I just got stabbed a bit, I’ll be fine.” Lukas glared at her. “You were bleeding heavily, not to mention it was a VERY severe impact. You’re honestly lucky you're ALIVE!” Jessica added.

“She has a point.” Axel pitched in. Lukas was silent for a moment. “Alright, I’ll stay here. I just hope this works so we might be able to save some people.” Lukas sighed gloomfully. “It will, I know it.” Jessica reassured him, smiling. A small grin formed on Lukas’s face.

“Alright, I’ll get Ellegaard and we can test this thing out.” Axel continued, walking near the exit of the cave. Jessica looked away from Axel, who was walking out, to Lukas, who was clearly worried. “We’ll fix this. We’re close to a solution.” Jessica reassured. “I sure hope so.” Lukas chuckled.

“I’m assuming she had to be around here somewhere. I don’t think she’d be far from us.” Axel stated, grabbing a lead. He heard a sound, it was like an Endermen. Axel immediately ran behind a tree, peeking his head out near the sounds, seeing something.

He saw what looked to be Ellegaard without armor, standing there, pulling her hair. Axel stepped out a bit, preparing the lead. He froze when she stopped, her turning around slowly. She was in good condition, just her mouth slit into a huge smile. As soon as she lunged at him, he was able to get it around her quickly, her falling to the ground.

She made the horrible screeching noise, Axel hating it. “SHUT UP!” He screamed. It didn’t help, nor did it make it worse. He sighed, dragging her back to the cave. “Thank god I only went a few miles away.” He added, continuing the walk. He was just glad they could at least stop this madness a bit.

“You think that’d work?” Jessica asked. “Yup! I feel like a potion of healing would help it. I mean, it IS a cure, after all.” Lukas smiled. “I just hope you're right.” Jessica sighed. “I FOUND HER!” Axel yelled. Jessica’s and Lukas’s attention switched near the cave’s entrance, seeing Axel dragging Ellegaard.

“Just in time, I was just finishing it up.” Jessica answered, walking over to Ellegaard. “You were right, she is mostly fine.” Lukas pointed out, shocked. “Mhm! Now, let’s test this out.” Jessica added. They tied her to a fence, knocking her out. Jessica slowly approached her, grabbing the splash potion they made. She took a breath.

“Please say this is it.” She muttered. She prepared her throw, then threw it. It hit Ellegaard directly. She immediately woke up, squirming and becoming violent. Then, she stopped. Her eyes were wide. She panicked. “It worked!?!” Axel exclaimed.

“Well, sorta.” Jessica added. “What do you mean sorta?” Lukas asked. “She still has no memory. Plus, every stage is still evident. She’s just not hostile.” Jessica pointed out. “WHERE AM I!?!” A raspy voice replied. Their attention turned to the voice. It was Ellegaard, but it sounded nothing like her. “WHAT IS THIS PLACE!?” She demanded.

“Don’t worry, we’re just going to help you.” Jessica assured. “With what!? I’m perfectly fine!!” She answered. Jessica sighed. “What else could we use to cure her though?” Jessica pondered. It clicked. Jessica looked straight at Lukas. “Oh no, I’m not doing that shit again.” Lukas answered, backing away.

“Lukas, you did it once, you can do it again.-” “No, I can’t.” Lukas interrupted. “I won’t hurt you Lukas.” Jessica assured, coming closer to him. “No, I’m not being a test subject AGAIN!” He refused.

“Don’t be selfish! Just-”

“NO! I WON’T DO THAT AGAIN! AND YOU’RE NOT GOING TO MAKE ME!”

It went dead silent. Lukas just stared at Jessica, peeved. He ran out of the cave, going outside. “Lukas, wait!” Jessica called out for him. He was already in the forest near the cave. “Jessica, just don’t.” Axel insisted. “We can find something else that’ll work.” Axel added.

Jessica immediately ran after Lukas, Axel rolling his eyes. “I guess I’ll stay here!” Axel yelled out, watching Jessica run off. Axel sighed. “That damn woman can not stop shit for 1 second.” He muttered.
