Like a lighthouse in the night, my love guides you home, but you sail on without a glance back.
"Tumingin s'ya sa'kin! Nakita mo 'yon diba?" She excitedly said.
Yeah, I saw that and it hurts seeing you like that.
My heart is like a shipwreck on your shores.
"Alam mo? Siya lang ang nakaalala sa birthday ko. Sa sobrang busy ngayon pati si Danice at Eryx nakalimutan na." She took a bite sa cake na binigay daw ni Gael. It's a dark chocolate one, her favorite.
Only the wind and stars knows. Like whispers in the night, my love for you remains hidden.
"Ang pogi talaga niya. Imagine kanina naglalaro lang siya ng basketball pero andami ko na kaagad kaagaw." Napanguso siya at saka naghalumbaba sa lamesa.
"Edi angkinin mo." Walang pakealam na sabi ko. That's sound so bitter. Tumikhim ako saka tumayo para umalis na.
"Sa'n ka?"
She needs you.
"D'yan lang."
In every corner of my heart, my love is a whispered secret, too sacred to utter, too powerful to deny.
"Sabihin mo kapag may nagugustuhan ka na ah." She said habang nakatingin sa malawak na karagatan.
"Bakit?"
"Wala para ako unang may alam." She looked at me then smiled.
"Promise?" She showed me her pinky finger, waiting for me to do the pinky promise.
I shook my head. "I don't believe in promises."
My feelings is a precious secret, too fragile to reveal, too precious to let go.
"Why won't you just love me again?!" He said full of frustration.
"I can't and I don't want to. Stop being delusional and let me go." His eyes are sharp like a dagger.
"Why? Because you already have feelings for that person?! That's bullsh*t! You are the one who's being delusional. That person will never look at you the way you loo–" That slap echoed in the whole living room.
"Out. I don't want to see your face again. Leave, because I'm dying to slit your throat." I can't even recognize where that voice came from.
Truth hurts always. He's just stating the truth and I hate the fact that it hurts.
"Stop that feelings of yours, you will just get hurt and I am just concerned." His voice is much more calm now but I am not.
My love for you is a melody left unsung.
"Wala na siya'y balikan." I said the last lyric of the song. Looking at him but he's looking at me too, as if mocking me. And I know she's also looking at me, I didn't bother to throw her any glance. I don't want to satisfy her.
I averted my gaze. I don't want to make a scene.
Like a lone star in a dark sky, my love burned brightly but unseen.
He kissed her as if they have their own world. Unbothered by the stares and whispers.
A drop of tear fell, as much as I want to leave, I can't. It feels like my feet is nailed on the floor, I can't step back. I can't even find my breath anymore, it's like I've been deprived of air.
I couldn't move nor close my eyes. I felt a pang in my chest when she respond.
It's a torture and it's slowly killing me in the most painful way.
