37: Confrontation pt.2

This is a continuation of Confrontation (chapter 34) but this time, it's the point of view of Nyx (Achelois friend)

Nyx

We're on our way to Manila. Achelois is still crying. What a shame and what a pity.

She's been crying for hours and she's still talking about that woman.

I hate her. I hate her for hurting Achelois like this. And I hate her more  because she doesn't know that she's hurting someone... someone who's close to my heart.

"Hindi ko naman siya gustong iwan eh. Hindi naman lahat ng nangiwan, gusto yung ginawa nila." She cried in my arms. What am I supposed to do? Ever since she left that girl, I became her handkerchief. Gosh! So gross.

"We know, you just need to do it but you don't mean it." Vinn said, assuring her.

Achelois was laying on my lap. She's sniffing, and for Pete's sake my pants are already soaking wet because of her tears.

"Vinn malayo pa ba?" I fixed Achelois hair. Mukha na siyang basahan sa itsura at lagay niya.

Is this what love can do? If this is love, then fuck it. I don't want it. Get that shit out of my life.

"We are almost there." He calmly said. Again, Achelois sniffs. I looked up to prevent myself from scolding her again.

She's hurt, Nyx. Understand her, you don't know how hurt she is.

I comb her hair to at least calm her down a bit. She looked at me with her puff eyes.

"Nyx?" I nod

"Am I ugly?" I scoffed

"What are you talking about?" I continued combing her hair.

"Am I not attractive anymore?"

"You've always been attractive, Achelois. Stop doubting your beauty." I pinched her nose. Her red nose. She nodded, sniffing, but this time she stopped crying.

"Dito muna tayo sa condo mo ah? Hindi kita pwedeng iuwi nang ganyan ang lagay mo." Vinn said before entering the building where Achelois condo was located.

When Vinn finally parked the car, she lifted her own body and wiped her own tears.

"Are you gonna be fine?" I know she's not okay, that's why I didn't ask if she is.

"I will, promise." Tumango ako. Binuksan niya ang van na sinalubong ni Vinn.

"We will stay for tonight. We will drink, sasamahan ka namin... just like the old times." I smiled when Vinn said that.

There, Achelois cried again and this time, she cried on Vinn's shoulder.

"Baby damulag." Vinn carried her at ako na ang nagsara ng van.

All we can hear is Achelois silent cries. She's burying her face on Vinn's neck. I know she's embarrassed. Gosh, ngayon pa? I've seen worse, and when I say worse... meaning THE WORSE among the worst.

I saw her most devastating state. Her ruined self, her most dirty self, and her unknown self. All of them are not good, all of them were nightmares. A nightmare, I wish never happened.

"I hurt her Vinn... so much. Hindi mo ba nakita kung gaano kalala ang galit ni Ice? Hindi ko alam, wala akong alam, never akong nagkaalam." She mumbled, Vinn tapped the back of her head.

"Pero wala rin naman silang alam sa nangyari sa'yo eh. Wala rin silang alam kung ano ang pinagdaanan mo." Vinn softly said. When the elevator opened, we immediately came out.
