chapter thirty two

Peering inside the faintly lighted tunnel Asmodeus felt a chill down his spine. Something wasn't sitting with his stomach. As he clenched his side this gut field growing painfully strong collapsing Asmodeus to the floor.

He cried and other whales of agony. It was excruciating, Asmodeus used the wall to get up before he grabbed a torch and started limping. 'I probably could find some food or whatever. As long as it's edible then we're good, right?' he thought to himself thinking it'll probably help with easing the pain.

He got to this two-way intersection and stalled. Which way should I go, left or right? Taking a second to pause and choose wisely and also carefully because one of these could possibly lead to doom. I chose left, limping left he felt the pain ease up a bit. "Wahoo!" He cheered, fucking able to breathe again without the suffocation plus strangle feel around his neck.

Asmodeus began to feel better until....."you miss me? Hahaha!" Asmodeus shook his head before bolting down the tunnel. Running, I should have known that I can't just take down an ancient goddess simply by shooting an arrow piercing through her heart. I kept on running trying not to look behind. Just keep running Asmodeus, just run, I told myself repeatedly.

Dashing around the corner I crushed myself against the wall holding my breath. The goddess who passed not noticing me. Relieved I walked one step realizing somebody behind me. "Hello Asmodeus -ahh!" She collapsed to her knees screaming in pain. Her head in her hands. Asmodeus yelped landing on his ass.

"Get me off this carousel! Please!" The goddess seems to be under some sort of control. "Uncle, get me off this roller coaster." Fading away Asmodeus was too scared to move and couldn't believe what he saw, Aiyn wasn't just a male but also female?!

Meanwhile Satan, Lucifer and Paimon were all chatting when Aiyn began shouting in pain. Satan spun his head seeing Aiyn on the ground covering his eye. "son, you okay?-" Aiyn grinned an evil grin. I'm covering his eye Satan begins stepping back heavily breathing.

Unsure what to do, Paimon so what was happening and began running. Lucifer ran up grabbing Paimon, "what's going on Paimon!" "I don't know!" Terrified Paimon ran towards the middle set of gates heading up the bridge.

Lucifer and Satan were left. Satan grew more and more mortified watching Aiyn's entire body turn black mist like. Satan's first instinct was to use his room to hopefully calm him down and possibly solve what's going on with Lucifer doing the same use decidual but all it did was to make the specter laugh. "Pathetic." Lifting them up, Satan and Lucifer begin to fall unconscious when..... Everything turns black.

In the physical world both their bodies began to be covered with a thick layer of heavy black mist covering every inch while Paimon's body remained untouched.

"What's going on brother?" The angelic counterpart asked worriedly. "I think it's, it's..." "It's what?" Raising a brow the counterparts begin glitching. Hearing a voice they said "why hello you two."

Paimon ran around the castle searching for a hiding place when he stumbled upon a ladder leading downstairs. Climbing down Paimon so my neighbors with each of their sigils above.

Unnerved Paimon walked forward standing before the gates, he looked through the metal bars only seeing nothing. Turning around he shrugged, three sets of hands prepped out from between grabbing Paimon.

Surprised he was pulled back against the bars. "What the hell-" covering his mouth the hands restrainted Paimon from any movement. Both his rest and his head were restricted, the specter gave Paimon I needle causing him to be disoriented. Dropping him the entity proceeded to choke Paimon till unconscious before dragging him away.

All Paimon could remember was seeing this tall dark figure holding him. " There there , Paimon. You're in good hands. Don't worry." Whipping the side of his mouth before blacking out.

Asmodeus sees all this growing now more desperate than ever to complete this maze. Getting up Asmodeus continues on now in search for a cure or spell to stop or slow all of this down so it can buy them sometime to figure out a way to completely stop this entirely.

But will it work? That's a question for later chapters.
