I regained consciousness a few days after the event's tragic conclusion.
When my eyes opened, I was met with Astoria sleeping in the chair next to my bed. I smiled. I was thankful she cared to stay with me.
Fortunately, Madame Pomfrey cleared me to leave shortly after I woke up, following a series of tests to confirm my well-being. I was told to take things slowly for the next few weeks and to not do anything that would be hard on my mind. Apparently, if Harry hadn't stopped him when he did, I would have been in a more serious condition. I would've had to be sent to Saint Mungo's for extensive medical treatments.
Thank Merlin for Harry Potter!
Even though he was my friend, and he technically saved me, I couldn't help but feel bitter resentment towards him. Cedric was dead because of his mere existence. My life was complicated because of him.
Was it really his fault? No of course not. Nothing I thought was really the truth of the matter. I was just confused and overwhelmed by the events that occurred within such a short amount of time. I hadn't even had time to properly digest everything seeing as I woke from a short coma only a little bit ago. I was dealing with fractured memories and emotions that were pushed upon me by some invisible force in attempt to make sense of everything and why it happened.
I was a mess, and so were my thoughts and feelings. Grief was tricky like that.
It could have been anyone that was born on that faithful day that was prophesied instead of Harry.
It was Voldemort's fault if anything, or more so the people and circumstances contributing to his downfall.
It was just easier to hate Harry since he's there and it felt right.

Me and Astoria both walk into the great hall, arm in arm, to hear Dumbledore's speech addressing the end of the school year and the tournament.
"Today, we acknowledge a really terrible loss. Cedric Diggory was, as you all know, exceptionally hard working...infinitely fair-minded, and most importantly... a fierce, fierce friend. So, I think therefore you have the right to know exactly how he died."
I close my eyes and look down at my feet, the images of that night flashing through my mind. It haunted me.
Astoria rubbed my back in attempt to comfort me, shooting me a sympathetic look, "If this is too hard for you, we can go somewhere else just give me the word."
I look up at her, "It's okay...I'll be okay." I mutter, mustering up a small smile.
"You see..." Dumbledore continues, "Cedric Diggory was murdered...by Lord Voldemort."
