32 - Hot summer

*Chris pov*

It's the end of June now and since I've finished filming a few days earlier than I was supposed to I came back home two days ago and prepping for baby girl has begun!
This morning we've ordered all the things we need and are gonna be here next week, so the delivery is very fast, and then we went to do some clothes shopping for her and buy all the other items such as cloths, blankets, pacifiers and bottles, even tho Sofia wants to breast feed we got them cause A we don't know if she's gonna be able to breastfeed and B if she is she can pump milk and I or someone else can feed her too.

Today has been really hot, one of the hottest day so far and Sofia is barely functioning now because of it...
I've been refilling her water bottle with water and ice chips and making sure she's eating a snack every few hours, but now she managed to fall asleep on the couch and I hope it stays like that for a bit so that she can rest.
Whiles she's asleep I'll do some work on my computer like answering all the mails I have cause I didn't have time to do that while I was in Prague and checking a few more things.
From now on I'm gonna refuse every job offer, I wanna be work free at least until next spring, I wanna help Sofia and make sure my girls are taken care of and soak in all those cute little moments with our princess.

When I go to the kitchen, one and a half hours later to grab myself some water I see that Sofia is waking up on the couch so I walk to her.
"Hey baby..."
"Mhm...hi"
"You ok?"
"Yeah why?"
"You look a bit pale..."
"I feel fine...I think" she says trying the sit up
"You think?"
"Mhm I feel a bit dizzy now" she says once she's fully sat up
"Do you feel hot? Sick?"
"Not sick like I need to puke, I feel hot tho..."
"Drink some" I say to her passing her the water
She goes and drink little sips of water and then gives me back the bottle
"Chris..."
"Yeah?"
"The room is spinning"
"Shit...lay down baby..." I help her to lay back down and blow some hair in her face "do you feel like you're gonna faint?"
"M-maybe..."
"Fuck...I'm gonna call an ambulance ok?"
She nods at me and I'm trying so hard not to panick and calling 911 seems the right things to do since she's pregnant.

"911 what's your emergency?"
"Uhm hi, my wife feels dizzy and she told me she feels like passing out, she's 29 weeks pregnant"
"Ok, where are you calling from?"
"*address*"
"Did she hit her head or something?"
"No, she was sleeping, the hot weather has been bothering her in the last few hours but I don't know if it's related to that or the pregnancy, so I called...fuck she fainted now..."
"Help is on the way, two minutes out, I'll stay with you. Call her name and stroke her face maybe she comes through"
"Thanks"

I do as told but Sofia doesn't wake up, then I hear the ambulance and go to open the door and thank the 911 operator.
"Hi, she's on the couch"
"She fainted?"
"Yeah, the warm weather has been bothering but I'm not sure it's that or something wrong with the baby"
"Ok"
They start to assess her and make her sniff something that makes her wake up with a gasp, she looks lost and is searching for me.
"I'm here baby"
"Chris..."
"Ssshhh, it's ok, they're gonna take a look at you" I say kissing her head and trying not to be in the paramedics way
"Do you know what day is today miss?"
"June 30th 2012"
"How's far along are you?"
"29 weeks"
He looks at me for confirmation and I nod, they're now taking her blood pressure and looking for the baby's heartbeat.
"Your baby hearts sounds good"
"Oh thank god" she whispers as tears go down her face
"It's ok baby" I whisper and kiss her again
"Your blood pressure is a bit elevated but it's nothing we can't take care of, we'd like to take you to the hospital and give you a thoroughly check"
"Ok..."
"Do I follow in the car or?"
"You can come with us"
"Ok"
I grab a few things that she might need and follow them, locking up the house.
On our way there Sofia makes me call Sebastian and her mom, then I also call mine.
Sebastian told me him and his mom are gonna be there in a bit and so that if they don't make her stay the night they'll drive us home.

When we get there they bring her into a room to further examine her and make me wait outside, I'm pretty much a nervous wreck by now even though they told us the baby's heartbeat is strong.
"Chris" I hear Georgeta say and I stand and turn to her, hugging her and then Sebastian.
"Where is she?" He asks
"They're examining her in that room" I say pointing to the door "they think it was because of the heat and nothing pregnancy related, I've already called her OBGYN and he told me to call him back once we've got more news"
"Ok, so we wait here?"
"Yes Georgeta..."
"Ok"
We all sit down and for the next ten minutes we wait, then a young doctor comes out and told us that we can go in to see her while he explains to us what tests they did.
"Hi draga mea" Georgeta says and we let her walk to Sofia first
"Go man" I tell Sebastian
"Yeah?"
"Uhuh"
I needed a minute to take a deep breath and control my emotions before going to her
"Chris?"
"I'm here baby" I say walking to her and kissing her lips "how do you feel?"
"Better, got an IV"
"That's good"
"As I was telling you this was caused by the heat, everything pregnancy related is good, we'll send you the notes we took so you can share them with her gynecologist if you want. Now we're just gonna wait for the IV to be done and then you can bring her home. She needs to rest and another be in the sun for a couple of days so that she can recover"
"Thanks doc" I say shaking his hand
"Just doing my job, I'll be back in 20 when the ice is done"
"Ok"

We sit next to her in chairs and we make small talk as we wait.
When he comes back I'm he takes the IV out, we sing a few papers and then he dismisses her.
Sebastian drives us home and when we get there we find Sam on the couch watching tv
"Hey guys...what happened?" She asks when she sees that both Deb and I are helping Sofia walk in and the bandage on her arm where the IV was placed
"She fainted and we went to the hospital"
"Oh I'm sorry, how do you feel now?"
"Better, just need to rest"
"Come here" Sam says letting go of her spot on the couch so that Sofia can lay down
"Thanks Sam"
"Sure"
After about an hour Sebastian drives Georgeta back home and then comes back, he decided to spend the night staying in Sam bedroom, yes they are finally dating!

"Oh I meant to tell you guys...first thing first my parents and I are finally on good terms again, and I found a place, it's a little apartment right in between your house and Sebastian" she says as we're sat eating dinner
"Oh congratulations sweetie!" Sofia says and Sam stand to hug her
"I'm glad to hear that" I say smiling
"I'm proud of you draga" Sebastian tells her
We cheers to that with some juice and then keep the conversation flowing as we finish our meal, then relaxing all together on the couch watching a new movie.
