About a month went by and tomorrow is the day I'm getting my surgery... I'm really nervous, aware of the fact that at almost 30 years old I'll be going into menopause because I'm getting both my ovaries and tubes removed...but this is life...
Family came over for a bit today, we talked and hugged, listened to music and played with the kids, when we all said goodbye the sent me their best wishes and we left Jade with Shanna since we knew that both Seb my mom and Lisa are going to come and visit to the hospital they would have had to bring Jade to another persone in order to come to us. And of course when Chris won't be in the hospital he'll spend time with her, while Dodger stays with Scott, while Scarlett would come visit the first day I'll be back home. I'm supposed to stay in the hospital between 3 to 7 days depending on how good my surgery will go.
Now it's the night before, I couldn't have anything to eat for dinner and I only could drink but nothing after midnight and do another unpleasant thing to keep my intestines free...yeah... "How are you feeling baby?" "Nervous..." "I'll be there the whole way, I'll be waiting for you in your room, I'll be the first one you'll see once you come around" "At least that's something I'll be looking forward to...how are you feeling?" "Doesn't matter how I feel, you is all I care about now" "I care about how you feel...you can tell me" "I'm a bit scared but I know your in the best hands..." "That's right"
We decided to watch and easy movie cuddled up on the couch and then we danced to slow music before I showed and washed my hair, we took a long shower together, we didn't do anything remotely sexual, we just wanted to be close to each other. Once we were both ready for bed I picked up my phone and posted an announcement on my instagram stories.

Once it was up I turned off my phone and with some difficulties fall asleep, but I knew Chris was there for me.
The next day, by 8 am we reached the hospital, I've gotten into my room, changed in scrubs and waited till they called me. From time to time Chris and I talked but we mostly layed together on my bed and cuddled. Dr. Morgan entered the room at 11 he hugged us both and we talked a bit before they were ready to take me to surgery "I love you so much, you're my fighter baby. I'll wait for you here" "I love you too" I tell him leaning up just a bit so that our lips could meet "No crying, I'll see you soon" "Ok..." I'm nervous as hell but I'm glad to have Chris and our family for support and the best doctors ever.
*Chris pov*
I watched her being wheeled out of her room and as soon as I couldn't see her anymore I sat down on the little couch. "Everything will be alright Chris" "I know, I just worry a lot, that's me..." "Sofia told me you have anxiety and to keep you company while she's in surgery" "I do...thanks for being here doc" "I care about all my patients and when I know I can be there for them I will" "You're one of a kind..." "I'm just human..."
Through my wait I texted with family keeping them sort of updated, and they kept me sane along side with Dr Morgan. Then after two hours Sofia was brought back from surgery, she of course was still asleep, as soon as the nurses settled her bed back in its spot I walked over to her, lightly kissed her lips and looked her over "I love you" I whispered against her forehead before backing away to listen to what the surgeon had to say. "Dr. Harrison" I say moving to shake his hand "Hi, I'm happy to tell you surgery went really smooth. We took tissues for biopsies and we also did a peritoneal wash which consists in putting sterile fluid in the abdomen and then remove it. We sent the fluid to the lab to be checked for cancer cells, it'll come back by tomorrow afternoon" "Ok, so everything you have to remove is removed, or you had to do more?" "It did not seem there was more so we removed what we planned to remove. Hoping there aren't going to be complications we should only keep her here for three days and you're welcome to stay all the time, family can come from tomorrow, three person at a time. She'll need her rest...and once we've got the results back we'll know for sure if she'll have to have therapy or not..." "Thank you so much" "Just doing my job, I'll come by later once she's awake" "Later" Dr Morgan tells his friend "You're not going home doc?" "I'll wait until she's awake, should be long now..."
We talked more and then finally I heard her calling my name. I told her what Dr Harrison told me. "He also said as he told us before, no lifting anything and avoid strenuous exercise and activities for at least a month, he'll tell you what you can do and when as he checks you up in the next few weeks" "Ok, I love you Chris" "I love you too, how are you feeling?" "A bit confused but I think it's from anesthesia, a bit hungry to be honest and tired, slight pain now" "Can she eat?" I ask to a nurse as I see him passing our room "Sure" he said then proceeds to list the few things she could have letting her have her time to choose what she wanted "io be right back Mrs Evans" "Thank you" I say "once your done eating I think you could have more pain relief" "Ok" "That way you should be able to sleep pretty peacefully tonight" "I hope so, you'll stay right? I mean you don't have to, you can go home and rest on a proper bed if you want..." "No way baby, I'll stay here" "Thank you" "No need to sweetheart"
After she ate Dr Harris stopped by before going home, he talked a bit with us and informed us he'll be back in the morning. While he was there he gave her pain relief.

Luckily in a matter of half an hour she fell asleep, pretty peacefully I must say cause she only woke up twice, one for changing her position a bit and the other to request more pain relief at about 5 am. Now it's one day at a time till she's back on her feet completely!
