47 - Another baby!

~ time jump to March ~

Our Sunday started out as usual, I went on a little run with Dodger while my girls still slept at home, decided to pick up some breakfast on my way home and seeing that they were still asleep I took a shower in the downstairs bathroom so I wouldn't disturb them and then sat up the breakfast.
Jade is now six months old and lately we've been giving her some solid foods, so far she's doing very well, making a bit of a mess every time but that's expected!

Once our breakfast is ready I quickly put something together for Jade, decided on some puréed banana this morning and of course Sofia is gonna give her some milk too.
When I'm all done I make my way upstairs and into the nursery first, seeing Jade picking up her head when she hears me coming in.
"Hi sweet girl! Are we ready to start our day?" I say sweetly before picking her up and hug her close to me, kissing her head a few times while doing so.
I then lay her down in her changing table and change her diaper and outfit so she's not in a pj anymore, even tho in half an hour time this is gonna be put in the washer cause of the food mess...
"Should we go wake up mommy?" She smiles at me and then fusses when she sees Dodger behind us as I hold her
"You see the doggy? Is he your bestie?"
When I reach the bedroom Sofia is already awake and sitting in bed scrolling through her phone
"Good morning mama" I say sitting beside her and handing Jade to her so she can get her morning snuggles
"Come here" she says to me so I shuffle closer, Dodger lays by our feet and our need of cuddles is soon satisfied!

Breakfast is eventful just like every day, our little miss is ending in the bathtub for a clean up...
Once the kitchen is also cleaned we settle down to read a book as Jade takes a nap and while we're relaxing we plan for what to do this afternoon seeing that it's actually sunny.
But our plans change after I answer a call from my older sister...
"Screw the walk in the park..." I say walking back in the living room
"Why?"
"Carly is in labor and it's progressing fast..."
"Oh shit...uuuu that's exciting!"
"Yeah, do you think Seb and Sam will babysit her for the day?"
"I think so, you call them and I pack her bag, if they're not available she still has to be babysat by someone..."

Hey pal...listen what are the two of you doing this fine Sunday?

Uuuu nothing...we're home chilling...

Goooood! Would you be able to babysit Jade and Dodger till bed time ish...I don't really know until when but uh Carly is in labor and it's progressing fast and she wants us there...

Seb
Oh yeah sure!
No problem bro, Sam and I are always happy to stay with your little girl and Dodge!
Do you want us to come over or?

Nah you are on our way to the hospital, say we'll be there in 20?

Once we were all set we got in the car and drove to Sebastian's house. We were pretty quick on dropping her off, telling them we would call once we knew what time we could come and pick her back up. Jade was thrilled to see them so dropping her off was not a problem, and Dodger was the same.

When we arrived to the hospital we saw Scott outside, we talked with him and he told us they were checking her again so in the room remained my mom, Shanna and Ryan.
Little Ethan was back with Ryan's brother and he's gonna come later or tomorrow to meet his little brother and I can't wait to see his reaction!
Once we were called back in Carly told us she's 7 centimeters dilated so not long now.
She says she's feeling good, she chose the epidural so she feels the contractions but they are not painful right now so she can rest a bit and get her energies back for the grand finale.

"Have you chosen a name?" I ask as I sit by her bed as we all talk as we wait
"We did, but you can't know it until he's here"
"Fine..." Scott says
"You waited nine months I'm sure you can wait a bit longer" Sofia points out
"Thanks girl!"
"How do you think Ethan will react?"
"He's been touching the belly very often lately and he's been very affectionate so I think he's gonna be good, maybe not fully understand cause he's little but seeing how he is with Jade...I think it'll be a success" Ryan says

We were all asked to step outside when it was time for Carly to push, only mom and Ryan were in with her, we all waited in the nearby waiting room.
Cries and screams from the other women and babies were heard frequently, must be a very busy day today in the labor and delivery ward!

"Congratulations aunties and uncles, baby Miles weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces and measures 18 and 1/2 inches!" Ryan says coming out of Carly's room with a bright smile and still a few tears staining his cheeks
"Awww congratulations!" I say hugging him first and letting go so the rest of us could do the same
"Miles is a very nice name, I love it" Shanna says
"In about half an hour you'll be able to see him"
"Thanks Ryan, now go back in there!" Scott's says
We chat as we wait keeping informed Sebastian and Sam and telling them we're gonna be back in about an hour and a half, we don't want to stay too long cause we know both mama and baby have to rest.
They were super nice cause they also invited us for dinner so we won't have to go home and get something ready or order out.

Miles is super cute! He has very chubby cheeks and a small devilish glint in his eyes that tells me he's gonna be a bit of an handle already!
We made sure to take plenty of pictures so we could show them to Seb and Sam later. We left them to rest and they told us that they will send the video of him and Ethan meeting tomorrow morning. We also told them that we're gonna make sure to cook something and drop it off alongside with a gift for both mama and baby in the next couple of days.

Getting back at Sebastian's luckily was fast, we all had dinner together, then stay to watch a movie and showing them the pictures before heading out to go back home and rest after a very eventful and exciting day!
