We're close to Halloween and we've been invited to the party Sebastian is hosting so of course we're spending our Sunday Halloween costume shopping! We've already been through some stores and we couldn't find anything I hope the next one will be it cause Jade is starting to get a bit fussy...
Sof and I will be Danny and Sandy from Grease, we thought this year we could go easy so not to scare Jade... "What do you think of this?" She asks grabbing a tiny Halloween costume deep purple "Cute, do they have her size?" I ask gently rocking the stroller "Uhm...nope..." "Ugh, she would have been so cute in that..." "We could ask if they have more?" "I guess..." We change the aisle and find a worker "Sorry, do you have more of these?" Sofia asks her showing the girl the costume "I'm sorry but everything is out already, we won't receiving more also...sorry..." "It's ok, thanks" Sofia tells her smiling "Too bad...let's go do some more research" I say grabbing a hold of her hand as I keep pushing the stroller forward.
I took us about 40 minutes but we ended up finding two outfits for Jade and a few more clothes and a purple of things we promised Deb we would buy for the part before we decided to head back.

We already were on our way home when we saw a pumpkin patch and decided to stop to take a look since it wasn't dark yet and the weather wasn't too cold. "Should we take a couple and carve them?" I ask "Why not?" We choose two perfect pumpkins and bought them, I put them in the car and went back to my girls, Sofia was now looking at some booths just outside the patch "Anything that peaks your interest?" "Mhm no...I was just looking babe" "Ok..." In the mean time as we slowly walked I picked up Jade cause she started crying and cuddled her close to my chest, giving her head a few kisses "It's alright baby girl" I whispered "You two are so cute" Sofia says kissing first Jade and then me "Why thank you..." I say making her laugh "Oh look! Is that a puppy shelter?" "I think so..." I tell her watching closer "do you want to go look?" "Yeah" she answers excitedly "Do you...want a puppy?" "Well, you know dogs have a soft spot in my heart...do you think this is bad timing?" "No...it would be nice, it's been sometime after East passed..." "Yeah...plus Jade would have someone to grow with..." "Mhm...let's go inside and look"
There were quite a few puppies, different races and sizes, but one peaked out interest... "Ehy sorry, what's his name?" I ask "He doesn't have one yet, we just got him two days ago" "He's shy..." Sofia says "He warms up pretty quickly tho...are you looking for a companion to bring home?" "Yeah..." "Well what I can tell you about this pretty boy here is that we already examined him and he's alright, he's about 8 months so still a puppy even tho he's pretty big on size he won't grow much bigger than this and he great with kids. My three kids came in yesterday, they're 2, 5 and 9 and he was so gentle with all of them, so he might be the perfect match for your little family" "He looks like a softie..."Sofia comments gently running her fingers through his fur "He really is...do you want to think this over a little longer?" She asks Sofia and I just looked at each other and we knew the answer... "Where's the papers?" I ask "Follow me, my colleague will prepare him to head out with you and give you the things you'll need for tonight so you'll have time tomorrow to go shopping for him" "Thanks!"
All the way home we kept exchanging ideas for a name for our new buddy and it dawned on me when I parked the car "Dodger..." "Oliver&Company?" "Yup!" We both love Disney so much so it would make a lot of sense... "Then Dodger...welcome home!" Sofia says letting him get out of the trunk of the car and he immediately went around sniffing.
Once in and settled we made him sniff Jade and a few of her bings so he can recognize her scent, he truly is so gentle with her and she absentmindedly gently gripped on his fur. This is gonna be the start of an amazing friendship between them!
