Chapter 63: Count On Photonblade For Sparkling Sitting

Photonblade comes in to the command center with Flaresweeper and gives her her first Energon feeding for the day.

After Flaresweeper finishes drinking her Energon bottle, Arcee comes in and asks, "Hey, Photonblade, how are you?"

Photonblade answers, "If I'm being honest, I'm hanging in there. But don't get me wrong; in my old human life, I knew how to take care of human babies and I knew how to care for baby kittens of domesticated house cats, but Cybertronian sparklings, as the human saying goes, is a whole other ballgame."

Arcee replies, "I know how you feel, Coby. But I'm right there beside you."

Photonblade gently sets Flaresweeper on the medical table and hugs Arcee while pulling her into a passionate kiss.

After they separated, Flaresweeper clicks and whirls as she holds out her arms.

Arcee notices that Flaresweeper was making the gesture towards her, and thus Arcee gently embraces her first adoptive daughter.

Optimus and Ratchet come up and Optimus says, "Arcee, we are sorry to interrupt your bonding time, but we need selections of Autobots to patrol for more Energon to farm and seed."

Arcee replies before saying to Flaresweeper, "Got it, Optimus. Sorry, sweetspark; Carrier's gotta work. But don't worry, I'll be back soon."

Arcee hands Flaresweeper to Photonblade and she along with Optimus and Ratchet go with a small portion of the original Autobot roster to the Tongue River Cave in Bighorn National Forest west of Dayton, Wyoming.

Photonblade sighs as he looks at Flaresweeper, smiling toothily at him.

Biffjumper then asks, "So, what would Flaresweeper like to do?"

Photonblade then says, "Biffjumper, to me, it's obvious that she has not yet learned how to talk in English. She can only chirp and whirl in Cybertronian."

Biffjumper replies, "Oh. Okay then."

Scalegate then comes up and asks, "Do you know how to sparkling sit, Photonblade?"

Photonblade answers, "Not that I have personal experience with Cybertronian sparklings, but I have personal similar experiences with human babies in my old human life. But the only problem is finding the line that draws the similarities and differences between raising and looking after human babies and Cybertronian sparklings. And unfortunately, this is something that no Autobot on this team on Earth have encountered yet."

Barcree then says, "I'm afraid you may be right, Photonblade. We ourselves have varying degrees of whether or not we once sparkling sat, and I know for a fact that Bulkhead and Cliffjumper themselves haven't done such a thing before today."
