Groid says to Blockwave, "All seems normal. If you do not mind my saying so, you do not appear to be concerned with your circumstances at all."

Blockwave answers, "You are correct, I am not concerned whatsoever."

Groid turned to Stunder who shook his helm to signify what he had been expecting for a while now.

Blockwave explains, "You have attempted to enter my mind a half baker's dozen times. All have ended in failure. Continued poking around inside my mind is illogical and likely to result in further failure. The shadowplay gave me many benefits. One of which was an immunity to all known forms of telepathy. As Soundwave can confirm were he here."

Groid tries a different tactic as he asks, "Do you remember who you were before the shadowplay event? The Senator Blockwave in the data-logs was a mech quite different from the one you are now."

Blockwave answers in a dismissive tone, "Of course I remember all too well. But I disagree. I was very much the same person. Now though, I am my true, unobstructed, self. My mind focuses solely on logic and not emotions."

Groid counters while making sure Blockwave looks him in the optics, "I would say your mind focuses more on mad science. Well, basically, the shadowplay cut out all but your most basic emotions. You say it made you more focused on logic. I would argue that its primary effect was removing your sense of scientific ethics."

Blockwave thinks about it before saying, "Interesting. But if we accept your hypothesis, your endeavor becomes ever more futile. Why would I seek to undo the shadowplay if it allows me to better focus on the ultimate pursuit of science and not get clouded by my emotions?"

Stunder cuts in to ask, "Would you not be interested in seeing if shadowplay can be reversed? It would be quite the science project."

A curious gleam ran across Blockwave's optic.

Groid then says to turn the discussion back to what he has to say, "But also, I find your attitude quite illogical. You are in enemy territory. No allies. No demands from the Decepticons for the return of their 5th Chief Science Officer. Your weapons are removed and your transformation cog is disabled. Cooperation is by far your best option. I wonder, might Senator Blockwave still be in there somewhere? Crying out for help behind your illogical actions?"

Blockwave says, "I assure you, doctor, my mind is quite sound. And your argument would be logical if I did not still have options yet to exhaust."

Stunder replies, "Maybe so, but considering the disappearance of the Insecticons and their likeliest attempt to break you free, which we have long-since prepared for, you now logically have one less option to exhaust."

Blockwave then says, "Then it is logical to conclude that the Insecticons will have difficulty attempting to free me."

Groid then says, "Affirmative. Photonblade's resourcefulness allowed us to create additional security measures for if in the event any Decepticons or Insecticons or even Decepticon loyal Predacons were to attack our cities."
