Optimus Prime is doing a patrol around the base's areas when suddenly, a Cybertronian energy signal came onto his scanners.
Optimus muses, "Hmm. Interesting. I must investigate."
Optimus transforms to his robot mode and heads into the woods, following the trail of the energy signal.
As Optimus walks the whole way to the signal origin, he started to calculate the likelihood of an Energon mine.
But then, Optimus realizes that if the Autobots hadn't have this giant of an Energon spike show up on the base scanners, then that means that this signal wasn't an Energon mine at all.
As Optimus got closer, the terrain became filled with varying sized branches and twigs as well as trees that fell down due to strong winds and other natural disasters.
Eventually, Optimus managed to reach the end to his destination, and when he saw that the signal was a stasis pod, he grew confused.
Optimus says, "Hmm."
Optimus carefully opens the pod ever so slowly, not knowing if there's an Autobot or a Decepticon inside.
But once the pod opened, Optimus was in for a shock.
He lets out a gasp as he sees a sparkling inside, and not just any sparkling, his and Elita One's firstborn son, Hidefour Prime.
Optimus' optics slowly let loose tears of Energon and lubricant as he carefully takes hold of his sparkling.
Optimus takes note of the fact that Hidefour was now six years old in human age and he says, "By the Primes. It's really you, Hidefour."
Hidefour comes out of stasis and chirps happily at the sight of Optimus' face, recognizing him in an instant.
Optimus leans against a tree and sits himself.
Optimus says, "Hidefour, I am glad to see you again."
Hidefour chirps happily as he makes a grabbing motion for Optimus' left servo.
Optimus allows Hidefour to hold his servo.
After five minutes, Optimus comms Ratchet for a Ground Bridge back to base.
As soon as Optimus stepped through the portal to the base, Ratchet asks without turning around to face his oldest friend, "So, what was the Energon spike?"
Optimus answers, "I am afraid that the signal we detected was not Energon, but rather, it was a sparkling escape pod containing my and Elita One's firstborn son, Hidefour Prime."
