Nkosikhona's POV

I fill the tub with water and take a quick bath. I can hear her sniffs coming from the shower and as much as i would love to comfort her but i can't. She offended me with that statement that i was happy that she miscarried. I get that she's still hurting but it doesn't give her the right to talk to me like that.

I was hurt too that day when we found out that she had a miscarriage. Its one of the reasons why i don't want a child. A parent is not supposed to bury their child. Even though we didn't know she was pregnant, I'm sure i was going to come around the idea of having a child.

I hardly think about my baby. Its hard thinking about him/her. They were never given a chance to live. Nobody in my family knows about this and i don't want them to know for now. I finish bathing and drain the tub and clean it. I wrap a towel around my lower waist and go to my closet.

I lotion my body and wear black cargo pants with a black t-shirt and sweater. I don't know if we will still have our picnic but i want it to happen so we can address certain things. I hear the shower stop and she comes out a few minutes later with a towel wrapped around her body.

Her eyes are red and puffy and i know if she was light skinned she would have been red. She walks inside the closet and comes back dressed in a black long sleeve bodycon dress that reaches her ankles. "We still going to have our picnic?" she asks. "Do you want it to happen?" I ask.

"I do but if you don't want it to happen its fine." she says. "Well i do want it to happen because there are certain things we have to talk about." I say and she nods. "Let me go and comb my hair I'll be done in 20." "Come here." She walks towards me and i pull her in for a hug. "I'm sorry for what i said." "Its okay."

"No its not okay, even though i was angry i should have never spoken to you like that or try to invalidate your feelings." she says. "We will talk about it later lets just go to the shops to get what we want for the picnic." I say and she nods. She breaks the hug and i kiss her forehead. She walks to the bathroom and i take my phone and go downstairs.

I pass by the kitchen and grab an apple to munch on. I take the keys of the key rack and go to the car. I bring the ignition to life and switch on the heater and wait for the car to warm up. I go back upstairs to our room and she's still busy adding the finishing touches to her hair. "You look beautiful." she smiles and giggles.

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself." she says and i roll my eyes. "One day you have to admit I'm handsome." I say and she rolls her eyes causing me to chuckle. "And boost your already boosted ego." "What happened to building each other's self-esteems in relationships."

"I'm not building your self-esteem i end up boosting your ego." she says and i laugh. "All i hear are excuses instead of owning up to your mistakes." I say and she chuckles. "Whatever Nkosikhona, leave me and my so called excuses alone." I walk up to her and start tickling and she laughs.

"Nkosikhona leave me alone." she says in between breaths. "Apologize first then i will let you go." I say. "No." "Don't let your pride prevent you from doing what's right."  "No." I tickle her harder which causes her to laugh even harder. I see tears streaming down her face. "Say sorry its not that hard." "Ngiyaxolisa Mvelase." (I'm sorry Mvelase.)

I stop tickling her and stare at her. "You know calling me by my clan name and talking in Isizulu makes me weak." I say and she chuckles. "Have to make sure i still have that effect on you." "Touche." we chuckle. She finally gets done with her hair and we walk out. She takes her handbag and i take my wallet and we head out.
