Rendani's POV
She drops the phone and i put it back in my pocket and continue cleaning. I still can't believe that I will be an aunt soon and I know I will spoil my nephew rotten. He will be sick and tired of me that's for sure. I'm glad Ona is safe where she is and I hope Nkosikhona comes back soon.
She didn't really go into details but she said he has a project at work so he had to travel for a week. Its work so he can't really compromise and say no. I finish cleaning the kitchen and take the cleaning supplies and go upstairs. I start by the master bedroom and clean. This house is huge. Its been a year since I started working here but I still can't get used to the size.
But its beautiful that's for sure. One day I would like to buy a house of this calibur. It doesn't have to be large like this one but it needs to have the expensive furnishings like this one. These people sure do make money from their fashion house and hospitals. I did do a bit of research about them and Ona mentioned it in passing.
They have appeared in many magazines, more the parents than the kids. Mr. and Mrs. Mthembu look good together they are the definition of a power couple. They complement each other well. They have four beautiful kids and they are successful too. I expected the kids to be spoilt and so forth since their parents are rich but they are quite the opposite.
They are all sweet and kind except for Nkosikhona of course. I don't know how Ona copes with his rudeness but I know I would have slapped the living shit out of him already. But she says he is a different person when they are together. I wonder why he is only nice to one person but treats other people like trash but his better now that his with her.
I guess its true when they say you will meet someone who will tame you and bring out the best version of yourself. But they look cute together. They complement each other well, sunshine and grumpy trope. And you can see that Nkosikhona loves Ona and I'm glad because I know she is in safe hands.
I was shocked to find out that they are dating. Ona looks way to innocent to be getting involved in affairs, it seems like something I would do not her. But its always the quiet ones that are the most dangerous. Now she's pregnant by him, she doesn't even look like she has sex. I chuckle at that thought.
But I'm happy for her. She deserves all the happiness after all the things she's been through. Life needs to give her a break so she can enjoy herself a bit. I'm glad to have met a friend like her. She inspired me to never give up and keep going. She is the light when you with her you just feel calm and at peace. There is something special about her.
I'm definitely going to keep her around forever. She is the best friend any friend could ask for and its easy to connect with her. She always puts others needs first before her own, she could be having the worst day but still make sure you are fine. She is one of those rare, genuine friends that come once in a lifetime.
I finish cleaning the master bedroom and move to the other bedrooms. I finish cleaning after three hours and go downstairs. I find Ayola making a snack in the kitchen and I ask her to make me some. "Uright?" asks Ayola. (are you okay?) "Ngiyaphila wena." I answer. (i'm good and you.)
"I'm good too I'm just tired." she says. "These days you are always tired are you resting enough." I ask and she chuckles. "I live with you and its not like I sneak anybody in while you guys are sleeping." I chuckle. "You the one that mentioned the sneaking part I was just asking if you resting enough." "Yeah I am." I suspect she is pregnant because Ona used to complain a lot but I'll shut my mouth.
