Onalerona's POV

My stepmom pulls me in for a hug and rubs my back soothingly. I'm glad she is there to comfort me because I really need a hug from someone. "I'm sorry for what your dad said, don't pay him any attention his still angry." she says. "My relationship with him is ruined forever." I say in between sniffs. "No its not he just needs time to come around."

I shake my head and wipe my tears. "His just disappointed that his daughter got pregnant out of wedlock and with a married man." she says. "The marriage situation is complicated." I say. "Let me make you some rooibos tea so you can calm down and explain the story properly." I nod and she breaks the hug.

I sit on the bar stool and rub my eyes. I'm sure by now they are swollen. She pours water in the kettle and boils it. She takes out a rooibos teabag and sugar and milk. She makes the tea and takes out rusks. She gives it to me and I thank her. I take a sip of my tea and sigh. "Now explain the complicated." I sigh.

"When we dated back in varsity there was someone that wanted us to break up because she wanted him and I didn't tell him because I was scared. That same person kidnapped Obakeng and Olebogang and she threatened to harm you guys and I didn't want that so i broke up with him. Fast forward to five years i find out I am working for his family and he married the girl but it is an arranged marriage. He then found out that the woman he married broke us up and we talked and gave us a chance because even though we broke up the love is still there." she smiles.

"What is meant for you will come back." she says and I hum. "That's what I thought too but look now." I say and she sighs. "Is he serious with the wife?" "Nope he has never loved her and after finding out what she did he hated her even more." she nods. "So technically you the main one its just that he signed and it's registered as a marriage at Home Affairs."

I chuckle and nod. "You can say that." I say and we chuckle. "I wish you didn't go about things the way you did but I understand true love never dies. When will he leave his wife?" she asks. "I don't know. He says his trying but I don't see anything so I don't want to give myself false hope."

"I hope he realises your worth and leaves her. I don't want you settling for a married man when there are other species out there. I know you love each other Onalerona but think about it. When men are serious we see them with their actions not their words." she says and I nod.

I understand what she's saying but I'm into deep to even consider leaving Nkosikhona. I love him and I believe that we will get through this and he will find a way out of this marriage with Rea. "I hear you ma but I'm choosing to trust him." I say and she nods. "Do you ngwanake just as long as he does right by you and your child." she says and I hum.

I finish the tea and rusks and leave the cup and saucer in the sink. I walk to my room and text Nkosikhona to come and fetch me. I pack my clothes and toiletries and wear my sweater. I leave my suitcases by the hallway and walk to the living room. I sit down and sigh. "O a tsamaya." asks Olebogang. (you leaving?) "Yes i have to go." I answer.

"Tsweetswee o se ka wa tsamaya lobaka loleele." she says and I smile and nod. (please don't go away for too long.) "Ke tlile go tla bonako ka gonne ke tshwanetse go simolola go baakanyetsa go goroga ga ngwana." I say. (I am going to come soon because i need to start preparing for the baby's arrival.) "Ka jalo ke tlile go nna rakgadi." I chuckle. (so I'm going to be an aunt.)

"Ee, itumetse, a o itumetse?" I ask. (yes you are, are you excited?) "Ee, ke nna, fa ke na le madi ke ne ke tla senya ngwana mme o tla tshwanelwa ke go tshela ka lorato lwa me le kamego ya me." she answers and I smile. (yes i am, if i had money i would spoil the baby but he/she will have to survive with my love and affection.) "Seo ke sone se tota se kaiwang ke go nna motho yo o senngwang." (that's the true meaning of being spoiled.)
