Onalerona's POV
"Uright?" asks Nkosikhona and i scoff chuckle. This guy has the nerve to ask me if I'm okay after he left me at the hospital and didn't bother checking up on me to make sure I'm home safe. He only comes now 24 hours later. (are you okay?) "I'm very much happy." I answer. I can't hide the sarcasm in my tone.
"Cela uhlale phansi sikhulume." he says. (please sit down so we can talk.) His cologne is making me nauseous so i won't go near him. "My ears function very nicely while I'm standing so talk." I say. "Onalerona." "Its either you talk or get out. I don't even know what you doing here or who asked you to come." "I want to make things right." "Talk then."
"I'm sorry for leaving you at the hospital." he says. "Okay." "Onalerona.." "I said talk Nkosikhona or get out." "I was supposed to stay with you at least and drop you off before i leave." "Congratulations that you realised that today." "It was kind of unexpected." I laugh.
"Nkosikhona we have sex without a condom and you expect your sperm to not fertilize my egg." I ask. "I thought you were on the pill." he says. "And do you think pills are always effective." "Bu," "But nothing Nkosikhona. You leaving me at the hospital yesterday showed me your true colors." "True colors?"
"Clearly this is how you will be like when the baby is born." I answer. "Its not going to be like that. I just needed some space to think." he says and I scoff. "Okay fine." "Do you forgive me?" "Go i want to be alone." "Sthandwa sami," (my love.) He stands up and walks towards me.
The smell of his cologne is awful. I feel myself wanting to vomit and i run to the bathroom and puke my guts out. He rubs my back soothingly until I feel like I'm done vomitting. I get up and flush the toilet. "You smell awful Nkosikhona please go and change." I say. "Okay."
He walks out and i sigh a sigh of relief. Hopefully he doesn't come back. I brush my teeth and apply Vaseline on my lips. I walk back to my room and the smell is still strong. I walk out of my room and sit in the living room. He comes back thirty minutes later and i roll my eyes. I was hoping that he doesn't come back but he did.
"I thought we were done Nkosikhona." I say. "Please come sleep over so we can talk properly." he says. "No I'm not doing that." "Ngiyakucela sthandwa sami." (please my love.) "Don't think you will talk to me in Isizulu and i will fall for your charm. I am not going with you to your place." "I'm asking you nicely."
"I don't care i am not going with you. Now please go, you have said what you wanted to say so go." I say. Rendani walks in the living room and rolls her eyes when she sees him. "You heard her she doesn't want you here. Please leave you are making her and her baby uncomfortable." says Rendani. "This is my girlfriend not ours so I'll stay here for as long as i want." he says.
"Hai bhuti don't feel entitled she doesn't want you here so leave." she says. "Tell your friend to shut up I'm trying to not lose my patience with her but she's working on my last nerve." he says. "You know where the door is Nkosikhona you will see yourself out." I stand up and walk to my bedroom.
At least his cologne smell is gone. I close the windows and sit on the bed. Rendani walks in and sits next to me. "Are you okay love?" she asks and i nod. I wipe away my tears and sigh. I don't even know why I'm crying. "Talk to me." "A part of me wants to forgive him and move on but a part of me is scared." I say.
"Scared of what?" she asks. "He doesn't want kids and now I'm pregnant." I answer. "He should have wrapped his dick up if he didn't want kids. I hate men that think like that. They don't want kids but don't use protection." "I don't know what to do." "I think you need to give each other some space and seek advice from an adult."
