Onalerona's POV

I can't believe he just dropped the phone without giving me a chance to explain myself. I don't know why he doesn't trust me because its not like i will ever cheat on him. I know i used it as a way to break up with him but it doesn't mean i will actually do it. I love him and his the only guy i have my eyes on. He should have more faith in me.

I doubt Sandile sees me in that way though. He has never said anything and neither has he hinted that he likes me so i don't think he might ask me out. I shake my head to get rid of these thoughts. Let me finish getting ready. I wear black flare leg pants and an oversized t-shirt. I wear my Puma sneakers and stuff my handbag with essentials before heading out.

My phone buzzes and its a text from Sandile telling me he is outside. I walk to the living room and i find my grandmother and cousin there. "Ke a tshwa ke tla boa moragonyana." I say. (I'm out i'll be back later.) "O ya kae?" asks koko. (where are you going?) "Ke ya kwa toropong le tsala ya me ke tla boa." (i am going to town with my friend i'll be back.)

"Tsala eno ke mang jaanong?" asks Masego. (which friend is this one now?) "Its Sandile you know him." I answer. "Mme o bo o bolelela gore ga go na sepe se se diragang fa gare ga lona." I roll my eyes. (and then you claim there is nothing going on between you two.) "Ga go na sepe se se diragalang e bile ga go na sepe se se tla diragang. Re ditsala fela." she hums.

(nothing is going on and nothing will ever happen we are just friends.) "If you say so travel safely and don't come back late." says Masego and i shake my head and chuckle. "Ke a go bona." I say and kiss both their cheeks and walk out. (goodbye.) He gets out of his car and his wearing jeans and a golf t-shirt.

We hug each other and luckily his cologne doesn't leave me feeling nauseous. "You look beautiful. Unjani?" asks Sandile and i let out a little smile. (how are you?) "Ke a leboga. Ke siame mme wena." I answer. (thank you. i'm okay and you.) "Ngiyaphila, are you ready to go." I nod and he opens the door for me and i thank him. (i'm good.)

He closes the door and rushes to his side and gets in. He brings the ignition to life and drives off. "So where are you taking me exactly?" I ask. "Its just a lunch date nothing much." he answers. "Which restaurant?" "Whichever one you want." I smile. "That's nice of you." he chuckles.

"I am nice. How was your Christmas?" he asks. "It was nice my uncle and his family came and it was good reconnecting with my cousins again. How was your Christmas?" I ask. "It was nice it was good seeing my mom's family and getting to chill with my cousins." I smile.

In the room (afrobeat version) by Maverick City ft Annatoria is playing in the radio and i increase the volume. I like this remix its very catchy and makes you want to dance along. Its giving King David danced with all his might. "I'm not forsaken, never alone. The God of heaven calls me his own."

"His not just seated upon the throne. I know his right here, here in my heart. I've got a treasure in my heart and in my weakness it won't depart." We sing along and i am amazed by his voice. He has such an amazing voice. "Your voice is anointed you should be apart of the choir at church." I say and he smiles.

"Thank you. You have an amazing voice too. My career is very demanding so i can't take part cause that on its own requires dedication." he says and i hum in agreement. "Now you know career number two when you are tired of medicine." I say and he chuckles. "Now i know."
