Nkosikhona's POV
"Ever since you've started dating you have neglected me." says Olwethu and I chuckle. Its been a minute since we chilled together but neglect is an extreme word to use. We just don't meet up like we used to but we talk on the phone and anyways I'm sure he is enjoying the space because he can focus on his girlfriend that he still denies.
"Kodwa ngikupha isikhathi ukuthi uhlale nentombi yakho nithinta thintana." I say and he rolls his eyes causing me to chuckle. (But i am giving you and your girlfriend time to touch each other.) "Ucalile ngalomkhuba wakho ongasanga." he says and I laugh. (you have started your nonsensical games.) "Ngiqamba manga noma ngikhuluma iqiniso?" (am i lying or telling the truth?)
"Angeke ngisho lutho." he answers. (i won't say anything.) "I've been busy that's why I am allegedly neglecting you." I say. "Busy with sex?" I roll my eyes. "Besides sex we have other things that we do in a relationship like going out." he chuckles. "I believe you Nkosikhona Mthembu." "When are you making your move?"
"She just got out off her marriage so its too soon." he answers. "But this is the longest fuck buddy you have ever kept in your entire life." I say. "She's more than just a fuck buddy to me." "I know that's why she's still around and is still the center of most of our conversations." he rolls his eyes and I chuckle.
"I don't want to make my move yet she doesn't feel the same way or she rejects me." he says. "But do you think she doesn't feel the same way? Surely she does by now with the amount of times you have spent together." I say. "She's unreadable though." "Then you won't know unless you try." he sighs.
"Saze sazifaka entweni." he says and I chuckle. (we have put ourselves in things.) "Nizifakile ngempela this time around." I say and we chuckle. (you really have this time around.) "So what have you been up to besides having sex and spoiling each other?" I chuckle. "We are expecting." he chokes on his drink and I chuckle. "Nkosikhona uthini?" (what are you saying?)
"Ngimithisile uOna." I answer. (I impregnated her.) "Wena lona ongafuni izingane kangaga." he says and i nod. (the same one that doesn't want kids.) "Yes me. I also didn't expect it but here we are now." "How far along is she?" "24 weeks." "And you kept this away from me for so long." "We wanted to keep it private."
"Your family?" he asks. "Ngizobatshela soon." I answer. (i will tell them soon.) "Ubabakho uzohlanya ke manje." (your dad will go crazy now.) "I could care less about his opinions." "Rea?" "Same goes for her." Yoh Nkosikhona. So what changed your mind about the idea of kids?"
"Like I said we didn't plan it. It was a tough pill to swallow at first but then I came around and I can't wait to welcome my baby into the world." I answer. "This was unexpected, I don't know what I was expecting but definitely not this kind of revelation." I chuckle. "You going to be an uncle."
"Mina mengicabanga ukuthi wuwe ozoba wumalume cala kodwa hayi ungimangazile bafo." he says and I chuckle. (i thought that you would be an uncle first but you shocked me brother.) "Nami mengicabanga kanjalo kodwa izinto zishintshile." I say. (i also thought that but things have changed.)
"Congratulations though i am happy for you and Ona, at least she is a good woman and she is the right woman with whom you can settle down and have kids with. So will you propose?" he asks. "I will soon enough i just need to plan and make sure Rea is out of the way. I don't need any loose ends before getting married." I answer.
