Onalerona's POV
"You look depressed what's going on?" asks Rendani and i chuckle. "I'm not depressed I'm just tired." I answer. "Don't worry you will make your millions tomorrow just focus on resting today so you can charm the boss even better tomorrow." I laugh. "You bore me." "You love me way too much so i disagree with that statement."
I roll my eyes. I can't stop thinking about the fact that Rea caught us. I don't want to lose my job because of this. Who knows she might run to tell his parents and then i lose this job. I can't afford to have my stepmother on my back busy complaining. She already complains any chance she gets so i don't want it to be two times worse.
"Earth to Onalerona Mohlala." "Damn you called me by full name and surname." I say and she chuckles. "You zoned out on me while i was talking." "I'm sorry what were you saying." "How is the chemotherapy going?" "Its going well. My grandmother is responding well to it the only thing she complains about is the side effects but either than that she's fine."
"That's good." she says and I hum in agreement. "How are your parents?" I ask. "They okay, I'm thinking of visiting them month end but then the festive season is near so i will thug it out and wait for December." "But the year went by so fast we are almost in December." "I know right. It will be my first December spending my own money."
"You better spend it with me too." I say and we laugh. "How can i forget you though." she says and i smile. "I'm unforgettable anyways." we chuckle. My phone rings and I check the caller ID and its Nkosikhona.
"Let me answer this we'll talk." I say and she wiggles her eyebrows. "Let me not disturb your call with bae. Tell him i said hi." she says and i roll my eyes causing her to chuckle. "Go Rendani bae is getting impatient." she laughs and walks out of my bedroom.
"Sthandwa sami." (my love.) "A o siame?" I ask. (are you okay?) "Yeah can you please come to the house now." "Nkosikhona do you want me to be seen by your whole family. Isn't it enough that Rea caught us?" I'm sure his high on drugs currently. "Please its an emergency." "Your family is there though."
"My parents want to talk to you about something." he says and i sigh. "Why couldn't they call me themselves?" I ask and he mumbles some incoherent words. "Should i fetch you?" "Please i don't want to be seen entering your home as if i live there too." "I'll be there in two minutes." I drop the phone and sigh.
I wonder why his parents want to talk to me. I take out a sweater from the wardrobe and wear it. I wear my shoes and walk to the kitchen. There is a knock at the door and i open it and find him standing there. "Let's go." I get out and close the door behind me. "What is this about Nkosikhona?" I ask.
"You will see when we get there." he answers. "Is it bad news?" I ask. "You shall decide for yourself." I sigh. We get inside the house and go straight to his dad's office. At least i didn't bump into any of his siblings or that wife of his. I take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Hopefully its not something major.
He knocks on the door and i hear a come in from the other side. We walk in and I find Rea there. My mind puts two and two together and I realise that this girl actually told his parents about us. It makes sense why he was the one that called me. Now I'm at a risk of losing my job.
I greet them and they tell me to sit down. I sit next to Nkosikhona and she scoffs. "O tshwanetse wa bo ipotsa gore ke eng fa re go bileditse fano." says his mom and I nod. (I'm sure you are wondering why we called you here today.) I was wondering at first but after seeing Rea i managed to put two and two together but i don't say that out loud.
