Episode 3: Antihero Auction

Auction House, [LOCATION REDACTED]

We cut to an auction house lobby which is selling villainous things for money. Niki.chr is here to participate as both a buyer and a seller, and has brought her husband, Aon, with her.

Aon: Why did we have to come to this place? It's full of things that aren't exactly the most...moral.

Niki.chr: I mean, you wanted to have more experience with villainy, right? This is the perfect place to dip your toes in without taking a plunge, metaphorically speaking.

Aon: I guess you're right about that. But that doesn't mean I have to like it. Looks around and spots something strange Wait, is that..?

Niki.chr: Hm?
She looks over and spots a giant weapon which looks like a gatling gun with propane attached to it.

Niki.chr: Oh! It's probably some sort of mini-pyro...gun. There are a lot of things here that are probably made that are crazy like that. Niki Prime is the one who recommended this place, after all.

Aon: I mean, I guess someone could have use for it. Although... Approaches the weapon ...this is a little weirder than the other stuff here...

Suddenly, a small robot with a top hat on steps in the way of Aon.

Robot: Sir, back away from the goods. All participants must keep 6 feet away from all products being sold to avoid theft.
Niki.chr: Sorry about that, my husband is new to this.

Aon gets a weird feeling about the robot. He back away as asked.
Aon: Sorry, I didn't know. Looks at Niki But you also are participating in the auction?

Niki.chr: Yeah, both as a buyer and seller. Holds up the box she's been holding higher. Needed to get rid of these demonically possessed dolls for a long time. Didn't want them getting to Kanoa.

Aon: So...what type of...demonic dolls are they? Are they just like...creepy dolls? Or something that needs to be handled with extreme caution?

Niki.chr: So long as they are kept away from children, they should be fine.

Niki goes to the lobby counter and places the box on there. A bigger and bulkier robot with a top hat on looks at Niki.

Counter Bot:  What will be the starting bid for these dolls?

Niki.chr: I'd say around 50 GP would be fair. They were made by Sloth herself. Doesn't that sound fair Aon?

Aon is still a little worried about the dolls but doesn't question it

Aon: Yeah, 50 GP does seem like a fair price. But what happens if there's no one who bids for it?

Counter Bot: The price will be lowered until bidding begins.

Aon: I see, and what is the lowest it can go?

Counter Bot: 10 GP.

Aon: Then hopefully someone bids for it, because I don't think we would want to keep those things around any longer than necessary.

Niki.chr: Trust me, there is always a villain who wants these things. Anyways, the bidding starts in about 10 minutes. How much GP did you bring with us? These folks don't take credit.

Aon: I brought about 3000 GP with me. Is that enough for anything here?

Niki.chr: Let's hope.
