We cut to Ruby Smith in the village she swore to protect. She is readying herself, as she sees the orbs of the "Face Raiders" descending from the sky, ready to attack the village.

Ruby Smith: "Damnit. I'm supposed to be protecting this place. Time for work."

She jumps onto a nearby rooftop and takes a good look at the Face Raiders attacking the village.

They are the same as those other three that came before, yellow orbs with propellers and weird distorted faces. There are also new variants from what she saw last time, ones with giant grey bodies and spikes, and others a pink coloring and lipstick. Thousands descend from the skies.

Ruby Smith: "Damnit. Looks like I've got a lot to deal with. Guess I better kill as many as I can."

She jumps from rooftop to rooftop, taking out Face Raiders with a variety of attacks. Her eyes glow pink, and a blast of magic comes out of them, hitting a large group of Face Raiders.

She gets some kills, but then, the new variant of Face Raiders, the pink ones with the lipstick, start coming towards her, and in greater numbers than before.

Ruby Smith: "Damnit. Here they come."

The giant pink ones with lipstick fly towards her, and start firing projectiles at her. She dodges out of the way of the projectiles and then fires a barrage of magical bolts at them, killing a lot of the attackers.

Then, from above, two larger pink ones with lipstick come swooping down and try to slam onto Ruby. She dodges out of the way, and, getting irritated, grabs the nearest pink one by the neck.

Ruby Smith: "Alright, that's it. How would you like a trip to hell? Begone!"

She creates a gateway to the Hell dimension and then hurls the pink attacker into it, before causing the gateway to close.

More attackers come at her, this time the grey, spikey kind in larger numbers than before, and she struggles to destroy them, as they have thicker armor on their bodies.

She blasts a couple with her magic, but they regenerate and then shoot spikes out of their bodies. She dodges these and jumps towards one. They try to attack her, but their attack misses.

Ruby Smith: "Is that the best you can do? Pathetic."

She grabs the spikey attacker and then hurls it into a group of other attackers, and causes a chain reaction of attackers killing each other. She then blasts the rest of the attackers with more magical bolts.

Ruby Smith: "Alright. That's the last of them. Time to go see if everyone's alright."

She heads back to the village and sees the remaining villagers, along with their children, cowering in fear.

Ruby Smith: "Hey! Hey! They're gone! It's okay!"

Suddenly, something rams Ruby Smith from behind and sends her into a building.

Ruby hits the ground and groans.

Ruby Smith: "Well, that didn't feel good."

She turns to see what rammed her.

It is a face raider even bigger than any variant she has seen. Its body, all metal, looks like a samurai helmet mixed with a devil's head, with a curved, flat bottom portion, and horns sticking out of the top.

Face Raider Lord: MUAHAHA!

Ruby Smith: "Oh great. A boss fight. Just what I needed."

She fires a bolt of holy magic at it, but it does little damage to the boss, as it slams its head towards Ruby.

Ruby dodges out of the way of the attack and fires a variety of holy attacks to no avail. Each attack she tries does almost no damage.

Ruby Smith: "God damnit! This thing isn't dying!"

The boss seems to be invulnerable, but that can't be true. Ruby Smith needs to find a weak spot of some point before it crushes her.

She analyzes the boss, trying to find a weak point. Eventually, she notices a crack in the armor just under the left horn.

Ruby Smith: "Okay, if I can just get close enough..."

Ruby waits for the boss to charge at her and then jumps up and grabs onto it's head, before taking a closer look at the crack under the left horn.

Ruby Smith: "Ah, there we go."

She shoots holy magic into the crack under the boss' horn, but it doesn't do as much damage as she was hoping.

It does break the armor, revealing some sort of red gem, the true weak spot.

Ruby Smith: "There we go. We have a weak spot."

She notices the gem for it's true weak spot and launches a barrage of holy magic missiles straight at it.

The attacks deal massive damage to the gem, and the boss seems to be weakened a bit. Ruby fires another barrage of holy magic, before being thrown off by the boss and slamming to the ground.

Ruby gets up and shakes her head, before launching a barrage of magical attacks at the boss, hoping to at least hurt it enough as the boss starts charging at her. Thinking quickly, Ruby flies up into the sky to avoid being smashed by the boss, and then drops down behind the boss and fires more magic directly into the gem.

The gem starts to crack under the attacks, and the boss takes a lot of damage. Ruby, determined to defeat the boss, shoots more attacks at the gem until the gem shatters, dealing massive damage to the boss before it crashes down to the ground, defeated.

As it crashes to the ground, it suddenly begins to glow, as if it going to explode.

Realizing that the boss is going to explode, Ruby launches her self into the sky away from the boss, but then another villager runs up to the boss to get loot off of it. She grabs the villager right before the boss explodes and uses a barrier spell to protect herself and the villager.

She puts down the villager and shakes her head.

Ruby Smith: "Never come running towards an exploding boss. Do you have a death wish? That's suicide, mate."

Citra: I'm sorry ma'am. I'll be careful next time.

Ruby Smith: "That's alright. Just be careful, okay? I don't want any of my people to die. I'm here to protect you guys, and I don't want anyone to die under my watch, understand?"

Citra: Yes ma'am.

Ruby Smith: "I'm glad you understand. Now then, let's get back to the village so we can see if anyone needs any injuries taken care of."

Ruby begins to head back to the village while talking to Citra.
