We find ourselves in Hyperion's home, where Hyperion is by himself (and Socks of course) on his computer, searching for any jobs in robotics. So far, nothing, at least not in Lower Canada. It seems like all the good job listings are in Estaria, and quite frankly Estaria is not the place Hyperion wants to go to. Suddenly, the front door to his house unlocks and opens, and Quinn trudges in, back again from another shift at the only place that was hiring for people like Quinn, the supermarket.

Hyperion: Hey, Quinn. How was work?

Quinn: Quite exhausting, as always.

Hyperion: Here, sit down.

Hyperion motions towards an open seat across from him, which Quinn promptly sits down in.

Hyperion: I can get you something to drink before you tell me about your day, if you want.

Quinn: I'm fine. Thank you for offering though.

Hyperion gives a little nod at what she said. Since she's gotten that job so they can at least have some sort of money to go off of, she's been nothing but tired. Today seems different though.

Hyperion: Something going on in that head of yours? You look more tired than usual.

Quinn, as she usually does, speaks bluntly what's on her mind.

Quinn: I'm getting tired of working as a cashier, Hyperion. I've already informed the store that I have qualifications of being part of security there, but they seem to just ignore me for some reason.

There it is. Quinn initially wanted to work at the supermarket because she heard that there was some kind of security there, and due to her background, she would work out as one. Instead, she got the cashier job, which was nothing less than watching people use self-check outs at this point. Really not doing anything but assisting. Her exhaustion rarely ever came from physical labor, but a mental boredom of sorts. Of course, he had to ask...

Hyperion: Have you tried talking to a different superior? Maybe you need to take it a bit further than the store manager.

Quinn: I've tried every form of leadership, even HR. Any time I get close to what I want, someone or something stands in my way. Maybe I should have unionized unlike what you said.

Hyperion: I don't know, Quinn. I think unions aren't worth it in the long run. They take a lot of your money and they aren't even that helpful for people who aren't lazy.

Hyperion quickly tries to brainstorm ways that could help Quinn with her issues, then quickly comes up with something.

Hyperion: I got an idea... but it is a bit... unethical.

Quinn: Wha-

Hyperion: Hear me out. I have been thinking and... what if we sabotage the security team?

Quinn: What? No.

Hyperion: Come on, Quinn, think about it! We are taking two birds with one stone, we get you in the security team and we humiliate the current security. Come on!

Quinn: Hyperion, I said no. This job is the only thing making us any money, you said that yourself. I'm not risking my job just to get something I want personally.

Hyperion: I know that... but just listen to me for a second, please. Hear me out first. Just think of how good it would feel to show them up.
