Episode 42: Besiege in Baytona

Baytona, Estaria

We cut to the outside of a building somewhere in Baytona. Hidden out of sight of anyone, our heroes Era, Cain, and Rie observe. This is the place where all the assassins that went after them are. Now there is only one question...

Cain: What's taking so long!

Era: Don't look at me, ask Rie.

Rie shrugs, looking unbothered by the question. She leans against the wall behind her lazily.

Rie: What's the rush? We'll attack eventually. For now, gathering intel is important!

Cain: sigh It's been over an hour, I think we have gathered enough at this point.

Era: Cain, your perception of time is very, very wrong. It's been nearly a week.

Rie chuckles, watching the others' reaction.

Rie: Yeah, it's been a while now. I almost forgot why we even came here...

Era: The people who are in that building are the ones who tried to kill us, so we are going to try to kill them so that we aren't killed.

Cain: Yes! Very simple. Very logical. So, let's do it already!

Rie rolls her eyes

Rie: You guys are no fun... we should do a funny ambush!

Era: Seriously though, staking out a building for a week. I get a day, maybe two, but a week.

Cain: Yeah, really, why didn't we just attack the next day?

Rie chuckles, shaking her head in amusement.

Rie: It's fine, it's fine! Besides, I enjoy listening to you two going back and forth. You're like bickering children sometimes.

Era: Technically we are, chronologically speaking.

Rie bursts into laughter, finding the response entertaining.

Rie: Haha, okay, I'll give you that, that was good!

Era No, seriously. I'm like, four, and Cain's like a couple of months. Actually, you said that you were formed from the soul of someone, do you count how many years that soul lived as well?

Cain: Yes, that would be over thirty years now.

Era: looks at the canon age Well, that looks about right.

Rie pouts, clearly enjoying the teasing from the other two.

Rie: Alright, that's enough! You two know what I meant...

Era: Right.

Cain: Can we attack already?

Rie rolls her eyes again.

Rie: Alright, alright, fine... let's go.

Entrance of the Base...

Fumi: Hey! pulls out jar of Anti-Ether We're supposed to be hunting you, not the other way around!

Era: I know. That's why we're changing things up.

Cain rolls her eyes and sighs as she looks over at Era. 

Cain: You're being reckless again.
