Somewhere in the Artic...

We cut to a facility built in the middle of the artic, unmarked by any company or organization, not even a country's flag. A helicopter flies overhead and lands on a pad in the cold. A scientist in a heavy winter coat exits the facility to greet the arrival, a man in silvery armor, a dark blue coat, and a darkened glass dome helmet with a snowflake embroidered on the front.

Scientist: Contractor, welcome back. Was Site-5 up to date in containing Artic-9, like asked?

Contractor: Yes, it was Dr. Staint. Can you bring me to the observation deck, so I can monitor our latest project?

The scientist nodded quickly and led the contractor to the room he wanted. The room they were in had a window looking down on the project itself.

Dr. Staint: It's good to see that our latest work is taking shape. We've dubbed the thing Project Zero.

Contractor: Nicknamed, you mean. You've forgotten I've already named the project.

The scientist grimaced. His memory was shot, more from age than anything. Still, he'd hoped it wasn't that bad yet.

Dr. Staint: Ah, yes... I believe you called it "Project Aurora," is that correct?

Contractor: That is correct.

They enter the observation room, a mass of monitoring screens, all currently off.

Contractor: Alright, time to ask the simple questions. First, has CC-1 been bugged through the link to that game we emailed him?

Dr. Staint: Yes, it has. As expected, our bug has gone completely unnoticed.

The scientist then tapped a button on a console set against the wall. The various screens on the wall turned on, each displaying various statistics and data.

Contractor: Good. Has CC-2 been tagged in her sleep?

Dr. Staint: Yes. The chip we implanted through her food has remained undetected and has given us access.

The monitors changed to show the readings of CC-2's chip's location and information.

Contractor: Thirdly, has surveillance been set up across Nevada to monitor the coming and going of CC-3 and CC-4?

Dr. Staint: Indeed, it has. Our cameras have been installed at various points across the territory. From each, we have a clear view of both targets.

The screens changed once more to show feeds from various cameras that had been placed across Nevada.

Contractor: Good. Finally, has the observer been planted to keep watch over CC-5 in DDICU 14?

Scientist: Yes, we have an observer planted in DDICU 14. At all times, we'll be getting live information from our eyes inside the DDICU.

A new monitor appeared on the wall, with information about the observer, along with a screen showing live video from a camera within DDICU 14.

Contractor: Good. The Guardians have given us a chance to prove we have the answers to keep the multiverse safe, let's get to work.
